lol It was a test of who will sacrifice their ego for their team..and hence the destruction of personal belongings.. it was to see if they are ready to give up their own personal things for their team or not

How does sacrificing personal belongings relate to ego.

If I don't give away something personal... It doesn't mean I am egoistic.

So really, the test was about dosh impatience if they were testing how patient you are durong task or selfishness if the test is are you selfless enough to give up your things for team. It still has nothing to do with ego. Letting go of your ego is when you give in for the greater good. Hence, the team that did not take revenge in the final round should win because they let go of trying to win for the sake of task and thought about emotional/sentimental value of the things of the other team.

Giving up your expensive things or destroying the other team's most expensive things has nothing to do with ego.
