Sanjay Leela Bhansali Suffers 3rd Degree Burn After This Sarcastic Post By Bharat Dhabolkar

Let's all stand up and maintain a minute's silence for Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali as his recovery from this episode seems slim. While we're still standing let's have a round of applause for Bharat Dhabolkar, advertising maverick and actor, who oh-so-elegantly slammed Bhansali into a concrete wall of sarcasam.
Dhabolkar took to Facebook to lambast the mangled mess of fact and fiction that is SLB's Bajipao Bajirao Mastani. In his post, Dhabolkar picks on the utter disregard for historical accuracy, the outlandish misrepresentation of characters and for overlooking documented details because it did not suit the director's Bollywood fantasy.

it may not be the most diplomatic thing to say in public, but it has been weighing on my mind so I I might as well say it.
I hate working with a director like ananth mahadevan . I recently acted in a period film directed by him and was disgusted with his fanatical sticking to the correct historical and character details of the period , i.e. 1890. i kept telling him about creative liberties one should take but he wouldn't budge . i gave him many creative suggestions that would have made the film ' sexier ' so to say , but he kept turning them down saying that won't be authentic , the character is real and he/she wouldn't behave like that in that era . i mean , come on , whats this stubbornness ?
just to give you a couple of examples , in one scene, set in 1890s , the protagonist wins a case in a british court . so i suggested that to demonstrate her happiness she should drop her pallu and dance on the judges's desk , with the bailiff and others dancing in chorus line and judge joining in, throwing his white wig in the air . he said NO .
in another scene there is this girl going abroad with a big suitcase , so i suggested that we can put a dead body in that suitcase so she can dump it mid -sea ( will remind audiences of recent murder cases , so topical and fascinating , you would agree ) he said NO .
and the list goes on and on . i got sick and tired of this sticking to authenticity of that period .
i would rather work with sanjay leela bhansali , who takes these creative leaps ( and damn historical realities ) . peshwas wife dancing with her sauten in a alluring midriff showing dance ( so deliciously erotic ) . or the peshwa dancing and mouthing words like ' dustman chi wat laavli ( so topical and so close to how todays tapori maharashtrians would talk , and therefore so relatable to the youth . ) he could have also said that i can't do this because my film is based on true historical characters and i have to stick to authenticity, but he didn't . more strength to his tribe .
and then there are these directors like shri mahadevan , chhya !!
so mr mahadevan , i don't want to act in your films anymore . next time you want a good looking and talented actor , look elsewhere .
thank you .
