Three years without him; living with the support of his memories ... his nishaan ... yet the void remained ... the incompleteness ate a part of her every day.

A young girl of age, no more than eight; sat in the corner of the school playground, weeping endlessly!

A boy walking past happened to glance upon her and ran towards her to wipe her tears...

She broke into a smile and couldn't help but thank him ...!!

"Tum aise akele baithe roh kyun rahi ho?" He asked ever so innocently!


"Mere saare friends Chennai mein hi rehgaye ... idhar Delhi mein; main bilkul akeli hoon. Mujhe apne friends ki yaad aa rahi hai! Yahan toh mere saath koi baat hi nahi karna chahta!

"Main hoon naa! Main banunga tumhaara dost" he extended his hand

"Yay!" she reciprocated his gesture merrily

"I promise you Aunty ke main hamesha Ishu ko khush rakhoon gaa ... trust me Aunty ... main dukh kaa saaya Ishu tak nahi pohnchaane doon gaa ... I assure you Aunty" said Raman ever so genuinely

"Raman mujhe aab se tum Amma hi kahoge...!!"

"Toshi Aunty I know ke aap ko South Indians se khaasi chid hai but main Raman se bahut pyaar karti hoon & I really want to marry him."

To her surprise, Toshi Aunty agreed in an instant!

"Dekho Puttar Jee mainu saara kuch pehle se hi maloom tha! Mera Raman Puttar mujhse koi bhi baat nahi chupa tha kyun ki usko pata hai ke uski Mummyji uski kahi koi baat thaal hi nahi sakti! Ishu mere Raman Puttar nu hamesha khush rakhna aur kuch nahi chaiye mainu!"

"I love you more !" Raman engulfed Ishu in a hug

As her mind traced their moments of togetherness; a tear trickled down her eyes ... that of heartbreak and helplessness ...

*PAST TIME*

He'd promised never to leave her but it had been exactly three years; he'd passed away...leaving her in disbelief!

She'd been inconsolable... crying; not eating a morsel ... yet she thought about the tiny "jaan" growing inside her ... a part of him ... made from moments of pleasure and out of "Their" love! It had been his desire to have a baby ... to experience fatherhood. In fact, when Ishu's pregnancy was announced by the doctor; he'd been more excited than herself.

Repeated failed attempts for a successful pregnancy broke her heart and had it not been for Raman; Ishu had resigned to her fate. His enthusiasm drove her passion at giving him their "love child" ... Four failed IVF cycles but he didn't give up and at last they were pregnant.

Seeing a part of him grow inside her warmed his heart. His love only grow deeper ...

If Raman loved Ishu passionately then mind you; Madam was no less...

Raman was one of those rare people who treated her "Amma" as her own. He was gracious enough to bring his mother in law to stay over at her daughter's in-laws as he knew that the mother-daughter duo couldn't stay apart! He bore the expenses of Amma's medicines, did all her shopping for her... messaged her head and loved her just like a son would. He was a dream to be around and Amma felt immense pride in him. However, his death took away from everything!

"Raman ki maut ko ek saal ho gaya hai aur humaari company ki performance market mein bilkul bhi achi nahi hai. Agar aise hi chalta raha toh hume sab band karna padhega! Bhai ki mehnat beqaar jaayegi... Bhabhi isiliye I believe you should join the company waise bhi aapka business sense kaafi acha hai so you might as well ...

Ishu sat alone in her room; picked a photo of Raman and kept it close to her heart ... he had left her alone... in this cruel world ... she'd been left broken by the very man who claimed to love her as deeply as the depth of the ocean...

She realised that she had to keep him in her heart and follow through with his dreams and ambitions ... it was his dream to open a health clinic for young poor girls and who better than his wife to take the initiative... she wanted to bring to life his noble thought ...
