No, they didn't. And now that he's back, he's as boring as ever. As it is there was no entertainment in the house when he was around, and now that he has returned after a brief hiatus (missing all the goodness and masala), he's the same.

They showed Keith return and sharing tragedy with them but not on the actual episode. You need to go to colors bigg boss website and watch "Day 48 sneak peak 3" to see that moment. If anyone only saw the 50 min episode then you missed this scene.
