dasaratha and kausalya had a daughter her name is shanta

dasratha had a friend called rompad and dasratha gave her for adoption to rompad

shantha and her husband did putra kameshthi yagya and the kheer was consumed by dasaratha wife thats how ram, lakshman, bharat n shatrugun were born infact in sampoorna ramayana they have described shanta as wise educated and beautiful women she infact supported her adopted father for various reforms like girls education ,agriculture and casteism

may be dasaratha never thought about kausalya before he gave her for adoption and may be this is the reason of kausalya being mad at him

well this story was told by my sanskrit teacher forgive me if i have said anything wrong
