Don't know about that but the only movie I thoroughly enjoyed this year has been BB

No...its a regular feature which used to happen 5-6 years ago. Then people wizened up and started promoting and releasing movies scientifically that it was impossible for big movies to fail. Crazy promotions, big weekend collections on holidays/extended weekends were all used to push substandard films. But now thanks to people getting used to promotional tactics of stars plus the social media its become tougher to fool the audience. Some good films like Piku, Badlapur, TWMR, BB did well thanks to WOM.
