CHAPTER 17

Pure love is a willingness to give everything... without getting anything in return...❤️

Jalal was still surprised. He was still under confusion whether whatever he saw a an illusion or it actually happened. Because neither she moved her fingers nor she opened her eyes. He was still under the thinking process when he heard a voice from behind.

"Jodha. Mahri laddo."

(Jodha. My dear!)

He looked at the owner and saw a feeling of excitement in her voice. He looked back where she was looking and he too was elated to see it. Jodha was slowly trying to open her eyes.

JODHA'S POV

With all my energy I opened my eyes when I experienced that all gathered over there expecting me to move. I didn't even open my eyes properly when I heard maa squealing with happiness. "Jodha! Mahri lado." I opened my eyes fully but everything still appeared blurr. There were many people standing beside me and one sitting. I could comprehend that the one sitting was Jalal. He was turning to look at me. I wanted to speak something but couldn't. In Fact just opening my eyes was like so energy consuming for me. I blinked my eyes several times to adjust with the light and to focus. Now everything seemed clear. But the view was really disturbing. Maa was standing there with her messy hair, and Jalal's condition wasn't too good as he used to be. Hamida ma, surya, moti all standing near my feet like they were waiting for me to get up. The doctor asked

"Miss Jodha, how are you feeling now?"

I am feeling like skydiving. Who the idiot made him a doctor? Wasn't he able to see that I've just gained my Conscious and not waking up from a nap? Stupid. But I didn't have much energy to curse him so I just mildly smiled. Oh god! Even giving a smile was so exhausting!.

Jalal was so happy. It was like his life had returned back to him. He was like totally out of the world.

Meanwhile a nurse came in to call the doctor for an emergency surgery. He immediately excused himself and went to the O.T..

As he went out Surya said

"I think we too should head outside. What say?" All genuinely agreed with him except one person.

The chocolate eyed man looked at the pale figure on the hospital bed. Not wanting to go out he voiced "you people go. I'll be there in 5 minutes."

"Ok.."Said surya.

After everyone went out Jalal looked at Jodha and smiled lightly. Jodha tried really hard to reciprocate the action but couldn't as per his expectations..

"Get well soon love. I want to show you so many things so please recover asap."And he gently kissed her hand. He stood up to go but before he could, jodha held his hand. He looked back at her first then his hand.

"What happened baby?" He sat back. Jodha slightly tightened her grip on his hand.

"You want me to sit here for more time?"Asked the confused man. Not able to nod her head, she just blinked indicating a yes.

"Ok. I still have a pending punishment for you for doing this to yourself... "Said he in a frivolous tone..

Jodha gave a soft smile understanding his plight. Soon Jalal went out leaving the paitent all for herself.

In the Doctor's Cabin

Jalal and Surya were standing all drenched in sweat after the latest revelation. Never in the wildest dreams they thought that this accident was a planned one. Fortunately, Jodha's mother wasn't present there otherwise the consequences would have been utterly bad.

FLASHBACK

"Yes doctor? You called us in? Anything serious?"Asked the tensed man.

"Umm... Nothing serious with the patient's health but the inspector wants to talk something imp..

The duo turned towards the cop and asked him to speak further.

"Sir, miss singh met with an accident yesterday morning while going to her shooting location. Since then we are investigating on this matter. And what we found is really astonishing. But before that we'd like to talk to Miss Singh if the doctor permits." He then turned towards the doctor to seek his permission.

"I'm sorry inspector but it'd be better if you don't meet her right now."

"Ok sir its ok. So Mr. Momhd. As i was saying, we never thought this would turn up like this."

"Please inspector open up the suspense fast." Said the worried man.

"Yes. The road which goes to her shooting location is absolutely peace maintained road and is not yet cemented. So what we found is that, there were tire marks of other vehicle too, other that Miss Singh's which later collided with her vehicle. So purely it's an accident."

Jalal and surya were shocked but not giving them much time to change their expressions, the cop instructed his junior to bring the photographs of the location.

"Sharma, bring the pictures."

As soon as he bought the photos, the cop showed it to Jalal and surya.

"Sir, please look at these. The marks first go straight then turn to where Miss Singh's car is and then turn a bit and then go straight. This clearly shows that it was all planned."

"But inspector, who could do this? I mean Jodha doesn't have any enemy of this sort, who would attempt to kill her?" Said the dismayed friend.

"Sir, we're inspecting further on this. But we suspect someone from her unit itself. Since you are from the same unit so Someone whom you are suspicious about?"

Said the cop.

"No sir absolutely not. No one from our unit can do this. Infact, everyone is very fond of Jodha. No one can think of harming her." Said the distressed pal.

"Inspector, how are you so confident that its a person from her unit itself?"

"First of all Mr. Mohommad it's a reserved area and no outside can enter without permission. We checked the entry-exit records and no outsider had entered in. So it was some one from inside itself." Said the sheriff.

"Sir, you can check the CCTV of the entry gate." Said the buddy.

"We are still under the process Mr. Surya. But yes, please let us know when Miss. Singh is awake."

"Sure, officer."Said Jalal.

The officer departed out to investigate further after dropping a bombshell behind. Jodha's mother tried to collect the info. but they lied telling that it was just a mere interrogation.

FLASHBACK OVER

Jalal ruffled his hair not knowing who'd dare to do this. At present he just knew that he had to protect His life, his Jodha at any cost. Everyone whom he loved, he lost.

Meanwhile Surya came back after a round of talking with Jodha.

"How's she?"asked the lover.

"She's fine. Was asking about you."

"What did you tell?"

"I told you've gone to freshen up. Why didn't you come with us?"

"I... I can't see her like that.."

"I can understand Jalal.."

"You please go and eat something... It too late.. Now Jodha also better. Please."

"Uh... Ok." And then the disturbed man went towards the canteen.

A PLACE DEEP IN THE WOODS

NEAR THE CIVIL HOSPITAL

"Geez... I don't know how will boss react when he'll get this information.."uttered a man in his ever creepy voice.

"Why? Isn't boss already aware of it?" Said the other one.

"No... He's not here.. He'll be back next week. Till then we can just hope for any miracle otherwise we'll have to hope for any miracle which will save our lives." Again said the first one and went out.

Days passed. Jodha was recovering slowly. The police was still inspecting about her case. As they got some new clue, it tangled the case even more. It was becoming harder to find the culprit. Jalal was taking full care of his lady love and at the same time managing his work load too. Since he already cancelled his plan for USA,so he had to look after from there itself. Maina was also staying in the hospital with Jalal whereas Hamida and Raj were managing the house. Everything was slowly falling at its place but still one question always existed Who would make an attempt to kill Jodha? Maina was still unaware with it whereas Jalal and Surya were taking full care that any of the ladies don't get to know the truth. It was just Raj who was told about it. The three most important men took utmost care that no outsider other than her family could visit her, not even the crew members. Sujamal and Noor gave a frequent visit but rarely got a chance to see Jodha.

2 Weeks later-

Jodha's ward

9:30 am

"Jo please take it. For my sake..."pleaded the caring man.

"Jalal pleassseee... I hate this tablet. Its so bitter..."

"Jo stop being childish.." He sounded a bit frustrated though he didn't mean to.

It was a routine now, for Jodha to avoid medicines, and for Jalal to make her have them. Daily she'd take more than half hour to consume them. But Jalal always politely asked her to do so.

"Why are you scolding me then? I don't like those that's why I don't take it."

Meanwhile Maina who was also irritated with her daily tantrums came in.

"Jodha, don't test his patience. He is asking you politely that doesn't mean you'll make it a habit. Silently eat it otherwise I'll make you consume them forcefully." Said she in a slightly high voice.

The injured girl was all teary. Jalal, who saw her in tears, had a sting in his heart. To control the situation he voice in.

"Are aunty leave it na. I'm there for this. Don't scold her. I'm sure she'll have it without any tantrums next time." He looked at Jodha for a moment and continued. "I'll handle her."a d smiled at Maina.

"Are you sure beta?" Asked he.

"Yes aunty sure. You be tensionfree." Assured the man.

Jodha thanked him through her eyes know what her mother would have done if he didn't jump in on time.
