WE all know by now Preet Ishan Hooda loves to talk. Words never fail her while expressing her feelings, her angst, her happiness. Ishan ki Preet bahat saari baatein karti hai. So much so that a teasing husband l8ves to adore her talking in continous flow. Battein woh bhi saari Ishan ki! Bit when it comes to Rizwan's Preet, its utter silence which is there as a reply. Why she fails to gather words to answer a query so genuinely asked by Rozwan, a troubled souls finding answers himself. Is it her hurt that her husband never reciprocates to her expression of feelings? Is it her hesitance as she herself at times failed her spouse by not fullfilling his expectations in the marital relationship? Or is it her helpless surrender to her fate that her marriage is nothing but a compromise and no expectations attached to it seem to be viable? Is she so accustomed to the silence given as a reply from her husband, that she herself used it as an answer as she herself did not whats the answer should be? Its still very grey are for her, betwwen a Yes or No.Has she given up with time expecting anything from the relationship? Its only the persistent pain which has become a habit for her , she lives with it and I guess now dhe is getting immuned to it. When we live with an undercurrent of pain of unfullfilled wishes, we start to enjoy it as all that we have to sail through. A vivacious , bubbly, happy girl on the surface carries that pain of unfullifilled dreams of a joyous togetherness each day. Thus when being asked whether her expectations are met, she only has silence to offer. How ironic is that her husband also has that lack of words to defend himself too in moments of discomfort. I guess its their destiny that they compliment each other so very well. Ishan ki Preet is frank, bold, unapologetic wheteas Rizwan ki preet is confused, hesitant ,incapable of collecting words to frame a sentence for herself. Its painful, fascinating, intriguing to say the least. Her not saying anything was her best reply, did Rizwan hear that properly and will he reflect on it? At times its about her too, not only about him.
Here hoping that these two people so deeply connected by their agony and pain yet dependent so badly on each other , finally have the strength to weave words in their feelings and make an honest confession -admitting their love before they depart. It is said silence is the most powerful scream , hope they hear it once before destiny tear them apart. Till then let them live with the lines-MORA SAIYAAN MO SE BOLE NA, MAIN LAKH JATAN KAR HAARI. 💔
P.S -what answer would have satisfied Rizwan though? 😕 he himself knows their marriage is nothing but a compromise. They do not live a life of bliss thanks to complexities in their present and past. So why he even framed that question is still a mystery to me! I hope this scenes has its closure in future interactions though.
