Roll call...

yes yes yes

Me!

__________

Okay first things first... my bachu took another step forward! Do you know how happy that makes me feel? My heart warms, my smile brightens seeing that Mohan is getting attached to Meera and his Me Ma... And to top it off, he went with them. This is major step forward for him... sigh.. this boy had me in a mush with this chapter. Love him, loved it, and love you more for giving him this!

Love is in the air! After the yes, now its what's next... but before that the past resurfaces revealing a whole different Khushi. Whom is just the type of person that one can easily fall in love with. No wonder ten years later, Arnav never truly forgot her... how can he with the chemistry they shared?

Life has changed the both of them to stand today to appreciate what they had. While Arnav understands the impact of letting her go with a determination of not letting that happen again. Go Arnav! As for Khushi that isn't the case. All of her life she has lost the ones close to her. And that fear will continue to plague her. It is apparent. But as they go down the journey of "what's next", the realization, the fear shall diminish... that I am certain.

Last but not least, Maya. This was bound to happen. Especially when Mohan is making progress. Wouldn't any mother in her place feel that way? Seeing your child embrace another woman, doing things he had never done before has to hurt. But I do hope she sees the positive impact that Khushi and Meera would have in Mohan's life to help her accept it wholeheartedly. And Arnav's as well, that man deserves this second chance.

My SS, I should thank you for letting me be part of this journey. It has given me a wonderful friend in you, my soul sister. I love you so much! ā¤ļø

**************

Mirabell, it's a privilege to be with you on this journey. Being privy to your thoughts and insights. And gaining a dear friend above all. Thank you.

I loved getting to know Khushi as she was then. Bold, amusing, insecure ... Her mind already prepared for an end to the moment even before it had begun. Her way of even allowing the moment a chance.

There is a beautiful poetic flow to this chapter as it delves into their feelings. Swirling between the now and the then seamlessly.

The changing dynamics in the present will cause a lot of upheaval for all of them, not least with Maya. Something that's hitting her ...

The way you have woven words here has been simply sublime. A pleasure to read and reflect upon.

You make me want to feel this,

"savor without strings
float without wings
fall with lightness of this being."

And you made me see the truth in this,

"Strange bedfellows, your memories
Uninvited they arrive
Unbidden they leave..."

So, just thank you ...

For Maya :)

This chapter had a bit of everything...just what I like. Arnav and Khushi's hesitant hope for the future, shadowed by the what-ifs, and the haunting memories of the past. Sometimes, being an adult is a chore. Kids lead such a happy life...not worrying about tomorrow, not tied down by reality...I wish that for this Arnav and Khushi.

The glimpse into their past sheds a light to their future. Khushi's reluctance to let herself be vulnerable, to be attached to Arnav...it's ironic how nothing has changed in the decade that has passed. She's an enigma, this one, confident yet fearful, adventurous yet afraid. But you feel for her, empathize with her, and that's the beauty of the situation you've set them in.

Maya in this update reminds me of Manorma in the one past. Same fears, same doubts creeping in. Both happy for their loved ones to have found happiness, but both uncertain as to their role in this new, changing reality. This plays on her fears and guilt of not having been a good mother (or so she thinks), and this too, like with Manorama, will take time to shift and adjust into what is to come.

Difficult it might have been, MB, but you delivered <3

MB, this update surely had the jadoo and nasha of Arshi all over.

What next?? A question which is plaguing both Arnav and Khushi's minds.
And before what next, memories of the past seems to be clouding their minds and hearts filling it with excitement and yet at the same time filling it with fears of another heart break.

The flashback - Khushi is so different than what she is today. I want that chirpy and spunk filled Khushi back. But having said that was she really this chirpy or she pretended to be someone else for that one week she was with Arnav.

She thought he was temporary in her life and would leave just like everyone. And now her conviction must be even stronger with NK leaving her. But Khushi, Arnav came back. He did not leave you, he came back even after 10 years.

Will the fact that he came back for her inspite of everything make her look at her life in a different way!!!

Khushi taking Arnav to the anatomy class made me laugh. And it made me travel to the time they had lunch together when Arnav met her in US and he kind of played 20 rapid fire questions with her. šŸ˜†

Khushi tries to bring the chirpy Khushi out, and then everytime, suddenly she withdraws back, isn't it. How I wish she could hold that happy Khushi out for much longer times.

The other strange similarity I see in Khushi is, she likes to hold something in her hand for support like holding NK's ring on her chain, or holding the cellphone given by Arnav now or back then 10 years ago, she was holding Arnav's hand almost all the time. Does it mean something, really not sure. Am I reading too much into it, again not sure.šŸ¤”

MB, how desperate I am to know more about this Khushi.

Coming to Maya, her incomplete sentences raises more questions in my mind. What does she mean she somewhere knew all these years? Does she think that Arnav gave her half hearted love as she could not take the place of Khushi in his heart? šŸ˜•

New relationships are changing old equations in everyone's lives including Maya's.

Maya suddenly realised that Khushi entering into Arnav's life means sharing Mohan too with someone else. But what surprised me the most is that this is not a new situation in their lives. They have already walked this path.

Is Arnav not sharing Mohan with Kailash too? I remember very well when Meera was crying for her appa, Mohan was ready to cut and give her half of his dad and he even told her that he has both his dad and Kailash uncle with him so he can share his dad with her.

Did Maya ever give a thought as to how Arnav must have felt sharing Mohan with Kailash?

I agree, for me it is impossible to imagine what she is undergoing now, And I think the best way to deal with whatever she is feeling today is to talk to Arnav.

Most of the times, talking things clears our minds of all confusions and fears and if we look at the way Mohan is coming out of his shell due to Meera, the big change in him cannot be ignored at all.

Just like he has a Kailash uncle, he would have a Memma too. But Arnav and Maya would always be his parents.

Be it Manorama or Maya, reading about them makes me wonder about one thought I always believed in, that women have more sharing capabilities than men. Maybe I am wrong. Women only pretend that they are okay to share but deep down they do not want to share and it is men who are more open to sharing.

Now MBji, how to wait for another 10 days for the next update.
