Vile and despicable Mausi

Let's hope CVs are shedding light on the hypocrisy and vile nature of some people who stack the deck in every way against people on sight. Rather than continue to propogate such characters as the norm and that women of the next generation must tolerate such despicable behavior let's hope the CVs plan to shed light on the atrocity of such behavior for the viewers.

Why are old person nowadays given such vile roles instead of showing them giving good example to the younger generation.

One would think that CVs will use their medium to show how terrible it is for older people to manipulate and emotionally blackmail the younger ones into doing their bidding. Even if the older family members have gone through hell in their younger days at the hands of their in-laws the more empathic ones will not want to repeat the same mistakes of their inlaws. All those who oppose Mohi's education need to have their heads examined. Why do some of these Gokhales feel threatened by Mohi's education especially when none of them are stepping in but it's Anusha who volunteered very happily to help Mohi further her studies?

What is the purpose of bringing Mausi into the picture other than to rile and throw her unwanted weight around the family members forcing the men to behave like timid boys who are afraid to speak up. Ayush's dad is a professor and one would think he of all people would tell the old lady to put a lid on her nautanki.

Sharad's wife is Mrs. Shrewd, she read Mausi like an open book. Are the rest of the Gokhales so naive or dimwit that they can't see that Mausi has created problems for the family from the moment she walked in the door. She threatens to leave and never come back...to that viewers can collectively say "good riddance, take a hike and get lost someplace else". 😳

Exactly...Why is she doing all these are really extremely hard to digest or to understand...Why the others at least can't doubt her is only to make viewers stupid but they are the first stupid...

The Gokhale are against Mohi getting educated but I'll say have they bought Mohi or is she only a maid in the house...
Ayush is the one I dislike the most in the whole scenario from the very beginning as for me he can't be a good lead...He does not leave the impact as one will feel watching him (my pov)
Yeah this is also true how the other ladies can't feel it that since the entry of the mausi who's here only to create problem all the chaos began...
Good if she goes as she's unbearable... as well as Sharad...Why are the characters in these show so problematic??

Indian soaps sooner or later slippery slide into the same elder member of family with a victim complex who emotionally blackmails and terrorizes the rest of the family. Or she goes for the haughty, dumb but full of herself matriarch who also blackmails even the most educated one in the family.

Great post! On Indian shows I have watched, a few times I have come across horrible old women. More times than I care to mention! They honestly make you feel physically sick with their disgusting behavior! So pathetic to use your "Age" as a means of getting forceful respect from people. No one can speak against a nasty despicable old woman who only wants to mess with other people's life!
