What do you mean by a family film ? Please explain.

We are in 2015 .

According to some on IF

Family film = No kissing, hugging, intimacy between the lead pair . for example stars who were the leads in JTHJ, Kites, Tum Mile, Ashiqui 2, Fashion, Dhoom series, and several other films where the lead pair kisses each other are Vulgar , because they are apparently in love with each other onscreen and instead of jumping into a road side and singing dhinka chika, they kiss each other to express their love which shows indecency, vulagrity and cannot be watched with family beside you.😕

BUT 😲

According to the very same ppl in IF, some of the family and decent films are

Hero raises heroine's skirt using his crown teeth, sees her undies and calls it Jumma and chumma ( kick ) . yeah decency just died a weird death on a jumma ( friday ).

Hero goes topless, teaches his friend to look at heroines chest, think about her lips as strawberry and then do whatever he wants ( Partners of Fartner ) . Yes love guru prem teaches the stupid bhaskar some ways of pre-marital objectification of his potential lady love .

Hero breaks in to a fevicol attaching his photo onto a bar dancer's chest after he drinks C-grade local wine and dances and the bar dancer, that woman asks him to bite her thinking she is a tandoori chicken. why ? because its all in the family to do so and mind you, he can also make a family clap when he jumps into another bar where Munni is singing munni badnaam by rubing her left butt where zandu balm was applied to dilute the inflammation of a mosquito bite.

I am sure our family does watch hollywood films too right ? at least the ones that are popular worldwide, for example we know that Ethan Hunt ( Mission impossible series ) and James Bond ( bond series ) , peter parker ( spider man series ) kisses their ladies onscreen, but can we deny the fact that they are the best family entertainer franchise that too since 2-3 decades ? we grew up watching them right ? Heck even krrish has kissed his wife, but kids in India are never warned by their parents to stop rooting for krrish .

does not Jack and Rose kiss in Titanic and even make out just before the ship hits the ice berg ? This film is arguably the greatest family entertainer ( HECK YEAH IT HAS BOX OFFICE RECORDS TOO ALLAH KE VAASTE )

So my point is, why is SRK, Hrithik, Aamir , Akki and Ranbir ( all the A-list heroes ) trashed and called vulgar just because they did films where onscreen kissing was needed. point out one SRK film where he objectifies women, plss plss i want to know which film was it ? point out one Hrithik film where he burges into a bar and calls out women as tandoori murgi and chicken tikka whom he will lick after drinking alcohol ? Point out one Aamir film where he is topless with random women and asking them do you want a partner ?

PS- i think i am not decent enough because i love watching Emraan hashmi films, SRk and Hrithik films 😭, and i actually loved Hrithik-Kat kiss in ZNMD 😆

👏👏 You summed up pretty much everything I tried to say in other threads regarding this special type of vulgarity in the particular hero's movies. Like lifting heroine's skirt with his teeth is so sanskari.

Dancing to songs with vulgar lyrics while doing indecent motions with his body.

Crude dialogues, crass humor.

So many examples, cannot even remember half of them and dont want to...

I am actually asking in general. i am not saying that every hero is decent and only salman is indecent , but because there is a certain and unfortunate notion in this forum that whoever does sex scenes or kissing scenes make those films vulgar ? Excuse me, i mean i would defend everything but how do i defend such a bizzare conception ?

i watched HNY . And the hero hardly pays two hoots to the heroine's bar dancing act, he infact s**t shames her for her ways and later on she makes him realize that it is her option and not a choice. Nowhere do you find him objectifying her body parts .

lastly, HNy is not defended to be a family film, i do not say that it is a family or sanskari film, and it deserved a bad verdict for being a bad film. but it still does not justify calling SRK or other actors vulgar or creeps for their kisses or romances onscreen.

I think you are forgetting about that wonderful speech by Srk where he "praises" Deepika's br**sts and her th*ghs...🤔 And I dont understand how you can justify the insults Deepika's character got in the film. Why? Just because she was a bar dancer? From what I remember Mohini was actually a very sweet character who tried her best to help the team out in the dance competition. Yet she was repeatedly insulted by Srk's character. Repeatedly calling her cheap, vulgar, low-class yada yada. Also dont forget the running joke in the film about mothers and "chod na yaar!"

As far as your list of A-list actors go, dont you think you are conveniently grouping everyone together? Yes, I cant find any such films of Aamir and HR. But have you forgotten all of akki's masala movies? Rowdy Rathode was a special kind of crass film. Dont forget Ranbir's besharam too, where he keeps on harassing the heroine.

well did i ever say Deepika's character being a bar dancer makes the girl worth of the insults ? please read my post, the hero s**t shames her and later she makes him realize that how her profession should not be the criteria to judge her. And yes i know, everything comes and ends at HNY, the search of a vulgar movie by SRK too, and i am glad its HNY which does not have a KISS or INTIMATE scene, and hence my point prevails here that there is a lot more to kissing and hugging for making a film indecent and vulgar. HNY is vulgar and it definitely lacks a smooch and intimate scene.

yeah Akki did some shit masala and nowhere do i see his fans defending his indecent films as family entertainers. but grouping every salman film as decent and family film just because he does not have the balls to kiss onscreen makes him a sanskari hero whereas SRK, Aamir, HR are desperate and kisses to sell their films, that is the logic thrown up by people ho defend salman's bad films. I never saw Akki fans defending his bizzare and vulgar films, and thank fully they do not. Lastly, i know so many Ranbir fans who have dissed besharam, so yeah his fans too do not defend his stupid and repulsive films.
