Maratha Mandir knows only one religion, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. So, when their presiding deity', Shah Rukh Khan and his onscreen lover Kajol decided to pay the single screen theatre a visit, devotees' (fans) came in thronging just to get a glimpse of their favourite jodi. The serpentine queues almost blocked the road outside leading to a heavy traffic jam but none seemed to mind for it is not everyday that you get to see one of India's biggest matinee idols in flesh and blood.
While the crowd and fans inside the cinema hall waited with bated breath, King Khan's convoy zoomed in at around 8.30 pm only to be greeted by a deafening roar. Inside, setting the tone right were Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, both of whom danced to a medley of SRK-Kajol numbers. Finally, SRK arrived on stage sending the screen hall occupants spiralling into a crazy euphoria.
