The producers of the show, an the management hand out the song to the contestants. The contestants themselves dont really have much of a choice in it.
Thats how Rex sometimes may not get a competitive song to sing, as per Prashant Sir's statement once. Also " Bulaki jaana main kuan", that song was given to Arijit, he did not pick it out himself.
RUPREKHA AN ARPITA BOTH SANG THEIR BEST SONGS.
RUPREKHA had already sung chandni raatein before for which she was praised by shankar an also won public votes, coz qazi and rex both were not in danger zone at that time.
Arijit's image was already tainted due to this spat with shamit. so there is no big deal if she came thro.
SO IF ARPITA SINGS HER BEST SONG, why are the LOSERS singling her out. Arpita's best was better than rupu's best of chandni raatein.
ruppu literally murders her songs, needs a lot of pratising, voice is too strained, the song never flows lucidly, the way rex n arpita do it with panache, ease, n a lot of feel.
In fact, we have noticed that Ruppu has a game plan. She changes the tune of the song, if she cannot sing the original tune, the way she did with chandni raatein, she has never once stuck to the original. WHY? would certainly like to see her sing the original song as it is without modyfying the tune of the song to her comfort.
In fact even Qazi's "yeh tara woh tara" song was sung with more finness than ruppu's performance of chandni raatein.
Arpita has always sung very nicely in the ranbhoomi rounds, so what is this hullabullo about her last ranbhoomi song daiya yeh main.
We remember her other ranbhoomi songs:
Deedar ve (a smitten self confessed arpita fan Mona singh had said arpita jaisi koi nahi)
and
Raat ka nasha (a speelbound John abraham who couldnt take his eyes n ears off her, an the sweet chemistry they shared at the end)
Instead of feelin insecure as to why she sang a song again, why dont the other participants SING better when they sing their fav song again.
ALSO IT WAS A BIGGGGGGGG CHALLENGE FOR ARPITA TO SING THAT SONG AGAIN WITH THE SAME EXCELLENCE THAT SHE DID LAST TIME, an she did it , accolades to her, only a true artist an singer an a GEM OF A PERSON can do that.
instead of sittin in the shadows n complainin an findin excuses as to who is singin a song again.
Regardless of whether she will be out of gurukul or not, this BEAUTIFUL damsel has made her mark, an we are sure to see her as a lead singer an a fine actress in the future.
