Hey guys..!! Sorry to keep you all waiting. Had my exams and couldn't complete the update and hence I had to push it to sunday night. Nevertheless, I got it completed and my exam went well š³. Not sure if the story is running too slow covering all the details. Let me know your views on the pace of the story I can make changes accordingly. Also thank you guys for those wonderful comments and am so happy to read each and every comment. Without further delay, here goes the update
Chapter 4
She was the first one to wake up the next day morning unlike the previous morning. She stared at the person lying down beside her and a little sob escaped her mouth. She was quick enough to control her emotions next to him and walked in to the shower slowly. The cold water tried soothing her sore body. He did not spare a single inch and marked her with a passion and the bluish black patches on her skin were the witness to it. She sighed at those marks with uneasiness rather than blushing looking at them. She has heard her friends and cousins talk about their first night with a dreamy look but here she was trying to hide everything from the man himself. She applied makeup in such a way that all of it was hidden. Instead of a saree she chose a full sleeved Chinese collared anarkali to hide those hickeys. She quickly put on her mangalsutra and applied a pinch of sindoor on her forehead. A little bit of it fell on her nose and she was reminded of her mother. Every time it happened she has seen her mother blush and when she asked about it once her mother had replied saying
"It means your father loves me very much" and hid her face between her palms.
She once again smiled at it ironically and quickly wiped it off her nose and saw him stirring in sleep. She walked out of the room as quickly as she could and sent a glass of lime juice through Nakul. He on the other side felt this was the best sleep he ever had in years. His head throbbed but the satisfaction and happiness that he experienced was worth all of it he felt. He looked for her in the room and then quickly sighed. He hoped he did not misbehave with her. He had already embarrassed her last night getting back home sloshed. Any other kind of behavior was totally unacceptable. He gulped the lime juice which Nakul forwarded and went in to the shower skipping his gym routine again. The hot water that dripped through the body stung here and there. He had a quick shower to get rid of the string and got ready for he had a grilling day ahead. He couldn't look at her the entire time during breakfast. He had a low cast eyes whereas she was hell bent on reading his eyes. Throughout his journey he kept chiding himself for his poor behavior. It was only fitting he apologized he felt. He wanted to do something for her. With the same thoughts he entered his cabin and started getting on with the day's agenda. He felt too excited for some reason and felt bad at the same time. The whole feeling was irritating and it was time for lunch already. Clearly, the day was throwing surprises at him. His personal secretary had informed the arrival of someone from his house. All he could vision was his daadi but to his surprise it was his wife. None of them had seen her. She entered dressed up in a black anarkali with a neck piece in gold and a thin red beading. The dress was perfectly tailored to her body and her loose hair drawn to one side made him stare at her with his mouth wide open. She blushed at the sight when she entered the cabin. She walked near him and snapped near his face
"Muh tho band karlo, makki ghus jayega" she said with a hint of mischievousness and he quickly turned his face away from her saving himself and felt bad for entering the house drunk.
"Uhmmm sorry about last night. I was disturbed with Sam's thoughts" and he ruffled his hair feeling bad for sharing the truth to her about why he was drunk.
She flinched when he addressed his ex as Sam and a nerve of possessiveness ran down her body that very second "It's Sameera and not Sam. Remember that" she said irritated.
He couldn't fathom what exactly happened to her. But hearing her correct the way he addressed his Ex irked him. He glared at her and she stood unmoved.
"Stay within your limits Geet" shouted Maan.
The blinders of his cabin were open and his loud voice roared through the office. People stood up hearing his loud voice and saw him red in anger. They were indeed used to this Maan but they have never seen him shout at someone who were his family. News had spread that his wife had come to visit him and all were watching what was happening inside their cabin with their hawk eyes. Men blushed when she walked in for the first time and women loved drooling over their hot CEO. He realized the damage that he had done and wanted to smack himself for humiliating her in public over his nonexistent EX. Her eyes had welled by then and she quickly exited the room paying no heed to him. He rushed out of the room and glared at all of them for watching over them and in particular at the men who did not seem to turn their face even after she walked out.
"Get back to work. Or even better Adi get their firing letters ready" roared Maan in anger and walked out of the rom trying to catch her. Even before he could reach the car park she zoomed out of his wife. He saw the driver who had his head hung down.
"Sir, geet madam drove by herself asking me to stay behind" spoke the driver sad.
"I haven't hired you for this" screamed Maan and started his car trying to catch her midway. After a cat and mouse game he did spot her in one of the traffic signal and vented in relief. He accelerated further and kept following her but she kept breaking in between giving him all the hints that she was a poor driver. Soon his phone buzzed and he was wondering at the new number
"Maan beta, Try following Geet soon. She does not know how to drive. I am scared beta" spoke a man from the other side
"papa, aap fikar mat karo. I am catching her soon" answered Maan and zoomed even faster when he finally caught hold off her near the highway connect Delhi and Gurgaon. He blocked her and pulled her out of the car and hovered over her worrying if she was fine.
"Why do you even want to take the car when you do not know even the ABC of driving? Are you mad" screamed Maan and his eyes were red hot in anger.
"Do you even care Mr. Maan Singh Khurana" retorted Greet with a sly look on her face.
"Of course I have to. Who will answer your parents, my parents and other members" said Maan without flinching even a bit. Somewhere he wanted to say his name but controlled himself.
"Oh yea?? Precisely why you walked in to the house like a filthy drunkard not realizing anything and shouted at me like I am a third person at your office even without bothering it's not your room" spat back Geet and mentally thanked god for not spilling the truth of last night.
"Fine, I am at fault. Now will you get in to my car and I drop you home" said Maan with his tone lowered a little with guilt.
"You better learn to address her as Sameera before me and I mean it" and she pointed her index finger on his chest. Her single touch sent a jolt of spark but he quickly composed himself.
"Get in to the car now" he said taking the driver's position.
"Unless you address her as Sameera, I am not moving anywhere Mr. Maan Singh Khurana" spoke a firm Geet
"Fine. She will be Sameera" replied Maan gritting his teeth. He quickly thanked her which had taunt written all over it and drove back from where they were stranded after asking the driver to drive back the other car over phone.
He started driving the car and kept stealing glances at her and noticed her wiping tears from the corner of her eyes. He felt guiltier for hurting her. He had been craving to do something for her since the time he let the house and things had gotten worse between them. With all these thoughts clouding him he quickly stopped the car making her jerk off her thoughts. She threw daggers at him and he leaned forward and placed a hand on the steering
"chaat khaane chalein" he asked her with a pleading face.
"You don't need to because all of this happened" she said and turned her face away from him. He slapped his forehead without making a noise and again pleaded her with an even sympathetic face and she quickly approved his idea. He shook his head looking at the child like glee on her face and stopped before Taj. Her eyes almost popped out when he asked her to get down and walk towards the restaurant. She slapped his arms hard
"We were planning to have chaat. This is not the place for it. Come with me. I want the proper roadside one" saying she pouted.
"You are ridiculous. I am the MSK and nowhere will I do such things" saying he raised his voice.
"Haan maybe. But you are with your wife and if you want to really make her feel good then you better listen to me" argued Geet and winked at him. He melted in that little wink and cursed her under his breath and took her wherever she directed to. He paid for her chaat and refused politely but she was hell bent on making him realize few things. She ordered something less spicy and once again blackmailed him that he have. Both laughed and she kept ordering for more golgappe. He was at a trance looking at her innocent face and her seductive eyes. Time almost stilled and he was lost in her. he quickly gathered himself when she waved her hand in front of his face and walked out of the stall. Both reached home later that evening after their first ever outing. He presented the flowers he had purchased for her while they were having chaat and mouthed a "sorry" and she smiled at him which spilled admiration for him
