Saumya bagged a role as Bebo’s sister

Saumya Tandon will be seen as Kareena Kapoor's sister in Imitiaz Ali's love story Jab We Met. Saumya, who plays a vamp in Star plus' Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni, is very excited about her career in films.
"I play Ruth, Kareena's sister, who is an important part of the film. It was fun as we shot just two-three scenes a day, unlike a serial where we shoot at least 15 shots a day," says Saumya. She adds, "The names of all the characters I have played so far have invariably begun with 'R'. I play Ria in Meri Awaz.... and in my debut show Aisa Des Hai Mera my name was 'Rusty'. And now it's 'Ruth'." That's not all, the girl now has her eyes firmly fixed on Bollywood. She says, "We shot in Patiala and I you will see me without any make-up in the film as the director wanted me to look natural. The producer Ashtavinayak felt I looked like Kareena's sister as our complexion is almost the same and so is our height. I am looking forward to more film offers now."
