I actually really liked todays's task...It felt like a typical Big Boss Task which also set the scene for each team to show their brains and brawns, and use everything they had to win...I think Team B (Rimi, Kishwar, Suyyesh, Prince and Puneet) were very strategic and made sure to not back down but also don't let the other team's attempts fool them into stepping down from the rickshaw or give up on the task...Despite everyone talking about their groupism and all that they made sure to defend and keep up with Puneet too, even though he isn't their typical group member.
Although this groupism tag given to them is funny, because they are getting criticised for being loyal to one another? Whereas the other scattered members like Mandana, Aman, Rochelle are too busy distrusting each other, while also teaming up to pick on the weak member of the other group, in this case Digi and are trying to make sure that they break her away from them other group...so I guess its more sporting and acceptable to be gossiping and spreading negativity about other people and trying to create a rift in the group, as opposed to sticking together through tasks and all despite having had few arguments/debates...as evident in 'the group' that they have been on opposing sides in the tasks (Facebook task) and yet have managed to come back together and make each other strong...
The opposing group in this task can't even seem to stop commenting negatively about each other, as seen at the end by Mandana and Rochelle where they stood and spoke against the rest of their team including Aman, who probably is under the illusion that his team has his back.
I really liked how Team B thought to use the rules of the task in their favour and actually have Prince help them out in sustaining their task in terms of strategy and strength needed, so by providing them with food and helping them play the game while being on a stationary object, Team B managed to pull through and win the game on this day. You can see why Prince has won in reality shows based on tasks before because he had a singular objective and that was to support his team in defending themselves against the other team's tactics.
My thoughts on few of the incidents in today's Task...
Suyyesh Vs Rochelle - Oil : She brought the oil herself and started throwing on them, so what did she think was gonna happen when they got hold of the bottle? She threw it on the girls in Team B too...
Also Suyyesh's language might have turned rude but if you watch you can see rochelle clearly resorting to her trademark abusive language in this task too... same goes for Mandana who likes to call names in English and then walk away after.
So when they made Kishwar a dog for three hours...everybody was claiming that there is not difference between boys and girls and that Kishwar shouldn't complain since it was part of the task...then why is Rochelle the delicate flower who got hurt by water/oil? I dont understand...this is the same person who in this very task again turned abusive and all, as well as threw red chillies on them but they are not supposed to respond?
Mandana/Rochelle Vs Puneet - Foreign Food: Raising the whole supposed racist comment by Puneet...All the people saying that Puneet was being racist, first of all he was talking about her food preparation and her using the stuff she doesn't use in her cooking in the task... You do remember her constant reminder to everyone, including mentioning it front of Salman, of being the 'Irani Khoon' and having the superior blood and also others not being on her level??? So I wonder how many people, including Rochelle who was so quick to jump to her defence, then called her out on calling the rest of the HMs inferior to her because of her own race...see it goes both ways... But as usual Mandana likes to give but cant take it when its returned back to her in the same manner...taste of her own medicine...
Suyyesh/Prince Vs Aman - Pedal/Raised Voices : if he is gonna be part of the task then he has to be ready for the reactions he will get when he tries to hit the pedal with an object that can hurt the person cycling. when he has no problem throwing them under the bus on Weekend Ka Wow in front of Salman despite being part of the decision and not being a team player in that regard. Also people mentioning his age, well the only thing I see him doing with his age and experience is to fill negativity in Digi's head, then he shouldn't expect the whole 'aman ji' and 'aap' in tasks too...Especially since he was equally shouting and raising his voice in the task when he was hitting the pedal...all the while claiming that the person cycling should watch out for his hand and not hurt him (which they didn't) even though he was putting his fingers near an object which was constantly moving and could have hurt him...I get it...it was his strategy to try and break them...but then he shouldnt be called older contestant who should be revered no matter what...
Mandana Vs Kishwar/Prince - Clothes: How is it that when she does something whether its ruining their clothes by throwing stuff on it including haldi, which she even mentioned to Digi stains everything, everybody thought that was a clever strategy but when they did it then it turned into poor her and her property issue? Also she claimed she didn't ruin their clothes...what were they wearing when they were throwing all these things...I am assuming clothes right? They even offered to wash her clothes but then how would she complain about them if she were to let them do that?
Mandana Vs Kishwar - Violence: If Big Boss uses the damage to Mandana's Microphone as an excuse to not punish her for being violent then I dont understand her position in the house...Is Mandana a contestant or Big Boss's team member where she has the right to use any and all force necessary to show the HMs the right way and if they dont agree then she has the permission to hit them???
So the theory is that Kishwar broke a rule then Mandana reacted...then how many times is Mandana going to get similarly punished for constantly speaking english (breaking a rule) and also throwing her microphone around and taking it off all the time (breaking another rule), also then should her team have been kicked several times for breaking the rickshaw, which is also big boss property?. Only Big Boss or Rishabh as a Captain should be allowed to intervene and set the rules straight and remind Kishwar to avoid damaging the microphone but of course not...the blatant bias will not allow Big Boss to take action against Mandana. Also having been kicked Kishwar is in her full rights to retaliate at Big Boss for not protecting her and for helping to break the contract she signed with them of being safe in the house. I am sure she didn't sign up to be kicked while performing the task in a similar manner to the opposing team.
No matter the reason whether its her imaginary/impossible strangulation (the positioning of the Microphone makes that theory implausible) ...none of that gives her a right to be violent towards anyone...
Fav Part - Rimi: The favourite part of the task was Rimi...constantly and consistently doing the task without being fazed by anything or anyone...even by other Team's comments on her
Also in the show, on the Weekends and also on this forum there is definitely a certain amount of hypocrisy and double standards...where they have one point of view and standard for one contestant, while they support their favourites through all the good, bad and ugly actions they do...While last week Kishwar was being called names for the spitting (which I agree was not a good thing to do)...they have conveniently forgotten that some of their favourites stood by and agree to that, also that if anyone should be seeking payback of some kind then it should be Rishabh...why are other contestants using what happened to him to justify their actions and take on the role of victims. As pointed out I agree why is it that female-on-female violence is seen as normal and acceptable, especially when it seems to be a clear hit and not an accidental push etc...I guess we can wait and see what Big Boss decides...then again every season the blatant favouritism is what spoils the game
I realise this ran a bit long đ , also probably contains a lot of typos lol ... I might even edit and add more if something else crops up đ
