This is a Simple post just to make understand what TRP is ?? and how is it calculated...i hope most of you know this suff..still i'm posting this ...
Because found some statements about per day TRP..So let me tell you guys there is nothing like per day TRP and no technologies have not yet developed to record Per day TRP in this entire universe and 100% not in India...
So What Is TRP ???
Television Rating Point (TRP) is a tool provided to judge which programmes are viewed the most. This gives us an index of the choice of the people and also the popularity of a particular channel. For calculation purpose, a device is attached to the TV set in a few thousand viewers' houses for judging purpose. These numbers are treated as sample from the overall TV owners in different geographical and demographic sectors. The device is called as People's Meter. It records the time and the programme that a viewer watches on a particular day. Then, the average is taken for a 30-day period which gives the viewership status for a particular channel.

How Is It Calculated ??
After The Period of Digitalization In India most of the cables are now equipped with a STB [Set Top Box] which already have peoples meter pre-installed and is capable of recording an average of per week TRP.

So as a conclusion...there is nothing available to record per day TRP and only Weekly TRP is the best we can record...So please Don't Make False Statements to take a lead in debates...😊
