| If all goes well, then Vivek Oberoi, who played the dreaded underworld don Maya Dolas in Shootout at Lokhandwala, will soon join the Indian Territorial Army. Vivek has received an offer from the Indian army and has shown a keen interest to take it up. Vivek's father, Suresh Oberoi, confirmed the fact that his son had received such an offer from the army. He said that Vivek will continue with his acting but will join the army on an honorary basis. The actor will have to undergo a fitness test before he takes up his post. The actor is yet to meet the Chief of the Army Staff, but once that meeting happens, matters will make a head-way. According to Vivek's father, many members of their family have served in the army, beginning with his grandfather, father and father-in-law. He is very proud for his son, specially the manner in which he has risen from the ashes after his excellent performance as Maya Dolas in Shootout at Lokhandwala. The father reveals that Vivek was undergoing a lot of stress when he started work on Shootout. He had lost his girlfriend and the media was hounding him but he managed to survive that and prove a point with his performance in Shootout.Well,we can only wish Vivek the best of luck. |
