Since Ranveer is not a star Kid why are people having a problem if he says he is an outsider. His father is not an actor and not a producer or director neither he is a Brother of some industry people. If you are not a star kid than you are an Outsider for the industry. Yes ranveers mother is the cousin of sonams mother and they would Meet at family parties. Who knows how many cousins sonams mother has and how their equation is. If it was that good sonam and anil would have supportet ranveer from the beginning like they did with arjun. Everyone supportet him at his first Release but you never heard anything from them until Ranveer made it on his own especially After Ram leela and anil Working with him in DDD. Ranveers struggle includes the years he made Friends with shaad and shanoo sharma. He Gate crashed the Party of shaad he didn't know them shanoo was not at that time a Casting Agent. Yes Ranveer is Rich living in bandra and going to school with star kids is an advantage he gets to know them still doesn't mean they will Launch him. He is maybe not that Rich as the Kind of richie rich but definitly more than a middle class family. And honestly Ranveer is the only actor of the current gen who still be able to do things besides the movie business. That guy is talented and pretty much smart than he likes to show.

wen he came back he struggled, he wud send out portfolios to whoever took them, he wud meet several casting directors, watch simi garewals interview with him where even his parents spoke about his struggle phase

Then BBB was getting ready to be made and then shannoo remembered him and she asked if he wud audition for it

so yes he did struggle, maybe not like rajkumar rao or nawazudin, but ranveer did go through his own difficulties
