Dadi - Suhani confrontation

I liked the Dadi- Suhani disagreement scene today... there were sparks of the old Suhani😊

👏 Totally agree with your views... Nd i also really liked that scene where suhani was asking yuvraj abt HIS decision... Nice acting by both esp Rajshri.. Her disappointment at not getting an answer nd relief after his yes... Brilliant acting.. Saraj are indeed vry good actors

This action/reaction of her's kind of explains her draw towards Gauri too. Why she is so protective and attached to her - because she identifies with her. And, I think all this while, subconsciously she had an inkling that the mask was to hide something 'ugly' which is why she was so unusually persistent and hell bent on removing the mask. The fierceness in her reaction today showed how much it affected her. But somewhere, I had this vague sense of unease that she is going to address this issue like she did with her protectiveness towards Bhavna. Her initial emotional reactions are okay but eventually she has to use her head and not just heart. But she is so stubborn, that I doubt she'd even realise that she is going overboard or giving more weight to her opinions( springing out of the experiences and prejudices she faced) over the logical course of action, which others would likely suggest.

This is a wonderful opportunity to address Suhani's hurt and hidden fears and make Yuvraj give a shift to her POV and make her more balanced as a person. She can't keep a level-head now, most likely her heart will rule over her head for few more days but he can be the balanced one seeing where her strong reactions are coming from and can help her in bringing herself back on track.

I didn't see yesterday, but my thoughts when I saw the end of the previous episode, the mask-haran, was that Suhani should stop pushing it and leave this obviously disturbed girl to a medical care professional, preferable a shrink. But let's face it, du--the cvs aren't responsible enough to show how something like this SHOULD be dealt with, and the mask had to come off, so rather than RagsMen doing kaand, better Suhani did it.
I think it's been the pattern that Suhani will tolerate a lot of shit thrown at her, but usually reacts on others' behalf. I'm not sure that is very right or healthy, because I don't know if it indicates a degree of strong self-confidence that can ignore put-downs, or a sense of martyrdom, as in Oh, I will bear this atyachaar and bring on claps from trp aunties.
I really don't see anything in Suhani (lookswise) that would invite taunts, but apparently she's been subject to them, so we'll take it as given. Again, the question arises--why hasn't she ever asked dadi to address HER by her name? That wouldn't be anything more than asking that someone stop demeaning you. It's just ignored by her, and everyone, like it's perfectly okay. If nothing else, she should simply not react/answer when she's de-personalized by being addressed as 'ladki''. What worries me is that things like this indicate the writers' total lack of awareness of what their writing indicates. They are just presented as facts, not as issues that should be addressed. So I very much doubt there will be any in-depth exploration of why Suhani is particularly protective of Gauri.
Oh, Yuvraj supported her? Good, I suppose. If only the better to piss off dadi. But why do I feel this kind of agreement from Yuvraj is a facile way of showing he's a bit different from how he used to be?

He struggled a bit (not because he still discriminates but because he is so used to being the meek mice in front of Dadi) but he did finally find a voice to say 'yes' to what Suhani was saying. But that's that,it ends there, nothing more. That was a very bad piece of writing and direction. Again a complex situation addressed in an offhand manner.

@Archie: Chinks in armour should remain chinks. Let them cover it up with proper means. I fear they'd turn it around to something 'mahaan' instead of treating it as a flaw. I don't want Su become anymore the goodie two-shoes annoying sacrificial lamb than she already is. And saint Yuvraj needs a bit of Satan possession from time to time... gotta agree with Ani, he is becoming boring... he should raise voice where he has to.. supportive husband, great... but please, wear the pants when necessary... all he says is ,"when do you ever listen to me?'. Bas, baat khatam... some silly anger n nok-jhok n in the end things go Su's way. Break the cycle already.

@Both: It was probably the reason I did not find her convincing. She lets everything happen to herself but becomes overly stubborn about others. Warped. Worse, she feels good about it. Get rid of this annoying quality soon, Su. Please.

Why MrRaj cant afford to support his wife in front of his family..after one and half year he has only yes/no to support her..when dadi questions him y did he not leave gauri in ashram n sternly says that its coz of suahni she had been in BH all dese says he had no voice to sanp her out..poor man improve yourself..marriage s not only about having nhok jhok n raising silly fights or ocassionally showing your love(only when spiked or wet) but also to support n assure your presence even if d whole world is opposing your better half

And tihs idiot Bhavana s making me to die everytime i watch her.I didn't understand y did she apologise on suhanis behalf..she cant realise what her sister s feeling just then..i doubt whether she s suhanis sister or what..And my god d expressions she gave increased my want to beat her up..Bhavna is not even a dumb now i cant say what i feel about her..she s reduced to glycerine and taunting suhani on trios words..She s worse now..
