Hi people, I am new to this forum and the world of writing. I am a huge Reporters fan like you all. As Kabir Sharma said "Khabre ek nasha hai" well this serial was a nasha for me and I think I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms. 😭 So, after much though I decided to write my very first fanfic. Hope everyone enjoys it.
Summary - Kabir Sharma has just joined KKN as EIC and Ananya is a Jr. Reporter in a rival channel. Lets see how the love story turns out..
Chapter 1
KKN Office
Kabir Sharma is sitting in the conference room along with Khalid and Malvika watching their rival channel, Khabar 29 broadcasting yet another breaking story. It has been three weeks since he joined KKN as the new Editor in Chief and to say that he was disappointed in the reporters would be an understatement. He had managed to get KKN on no.2 position because of his bulletin but they still had a long way to go. He had a long meeting with all the reporters to boost up their confidence and motivate them to get good stories but he still had not got what he desired.
Kabir increases the volume of the TV as soon as the field reporter comes in view.
"Ji Sanchin, is waqt main khadi hoon City Hospital ke bahar jahan factory ki aag se ghayal huye logon ko laya gya hai..." says the female reporter. Kabir had been following Khabar 29 religiously to understand the difference between the two channels. Whenever, he came across a great story, it was always reported by the same female reporter whom he had come to know as Ananya Kashyap. Apparently she was the rising star in the world of journalism.
"Kabir, this news should have been on our channel. This is a breaking news! Why are we always the second to break such sensational news?" asks Khalid.
"May I come in Sir?" asks Ronnie as he opens the door to the conference room.
"Yes, Ronnie please come in" answers Kabir. He had called him regarding some footage that had to be edited.
As he enters, Ronnie watches the news and recognizes Ananya. Immediately a smile breaks across his face he says "Oh bete! Isne phir sabse pehle news break kardi. Kahi bhi pahuch jati hai ye ladki."
"Tum jaante ho isse?" asked Kabir.
"Ha sir, neighbor hai meri infact meri childhood friend. She's very talented" answers Ronnie.
"Hmmm... ok ye chip le lo aur isko edit karke ready kar dena. Ye aaj mere 9 baje ke liye hai" says Kabir.
Ronnie takes the chip and leaves the room. "Khalid, I think we should recruit more reporters in our channel" says Kabir.
"Yes Khalid, I totally agree with Kabir. Agar hum better and fresh reporters recruit karenge to shayad hum no.1 ban paye" says Malvika.
"Theek hai main consultancy se baat kar leta hoon aur unhe bol deta hu to send in some candidates for interviews..." replies Khalid.
Kabir interrupts and says - "Khalid, mujhe koi bhi random reporter nahi chahiye".
Khalid frowns and says "Phir kaun chahiye?"
Kabir smiles and replies "Ms. Ananya Kashyap".
