"What are you all doing?" she forced her voice to be stiff, but it came out as soft as ever.
Arnav stood at a little distance, intending to know what she would do.
"My lady, ..." one of the soldier started. "You see this little boy.." he scowled at the little boy standing beside him. "He barged in when we were resting, and said he wants to practice with us. And when we refused, he threw a stone at me" the soldier motioned to the thin line of blood on his forehead.
Khushi gasped. "What?" Taking her pink handkerchief from his gown's pocket, she leaned and started cleaning the blood from his forehead.
The soldier stilled, staring at his Duchess beautiful face. Never been at the receiving at of such affection, he blushed to the roots.
Arnav saw his soldier blushing and bit his cheek to stop the chuckle. His soldiers are not use to such affection. They are hard built men, use to fighting in battles and not flinching at the scariest of wounds.
