So a little back story:
Imagine Asya are at a rock show (fat chance I know 😆) and they're not together. This would be from Zoya's point of view, and she sees Asad with someone else. Hope you like it 😳
AsYa Drabble: T-Shirt
"Who wants a shirt!?"
The crowd's incessant cheers made the band smile, as the singer handed out glow stick bangles and t-shirts. It was a good performance, despite the minor f**k ups.
I looked up at the stage excitedly and stretched my hand out, eager to catch a band t-shirt. It flew over the people in front of me, and I reached out to grab it. The soft fabric brushing my fingers as I caught it made me grin. But my victory was short lived, as I felt a tug on the shirt behind me.
"Oh you caught it! Sorry!" Came her sweet apologetic voice, as she started to loosen her grip on the shirt. I paused to take her in, and from the corner of my eye noticed she was not alone.
He stood next to her, in his usual laid back, devil may care pose. I glanced at him, and realized he was looking at our exchange. I let go of the shirt.
"Are you sure?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yes," I replied, nodding. "It's probably too small for me anyway." My eyes never left his. "Besides, I think it'll look better on you," I added. His eyes widened, but her repetitive thanking made me look away and smile half-heartedly at her.
It stung more than I cared to let on to anyone else in the room. To them, to her, I had given up a T-shirt. But he knew. Only he knew what I was really giving up.
At least that's what I kept hoping.
