why raja has better prospects than others

Why Raja and only Raja has the ability to become a famous singer in the music industry. There have been many realities singing shows in India and many winners, but there fame is short lived (only for the time that they are on the TV).

1. Raja has a musical sense, he is very well aware that it is very easy to sing songs which have been sung by others, thus nearly all contestants try their best to copy the original song as much as they can. Raja has never tried that, and always gives his own touch to the songs. He himself adds alaaps, variations, high notes etc into the song.

2. Raja has a very unique voice. Uniqueness is what really counts in the industry if you wanna be famous. If you don't believe me, look at singers like adnan sami, himesh reshammiya, kailash kher, kunal ganjawala, they all became famous because of the freshness and unconventionalness in their voices.

3. Raja makes a song his own. Sometimes when you listen to a song sung by the contestant and the orignal, it is hard to find a difference. Some people here may think it is a compliment for the contestant, but they are ruining their own chances of getting offers to sing in the movies, because a music director will hire the established singer, not a contestant who may sound very similar to him. In case of Raja, because of his different, somewhat husky voice, he never sounds like the singer who has originally sang the song.

4. Others may be technically better singers, but that does not count in the industry. What counts is the feeling, movie songs are almost always related to the storyline, and lipsynced by the actor, and keeping in mind the feelings of the character in the movie, singer has to portray that feelings/emotions in the song. Nobody in the contest is better at singing from the heart, with feelings than Raja.


Again, please vote for Raja. He has to win. This is our chance to make a DIFFERENCE, if anyone else wins, than it is the same story as what happened to winners/contestants of sa re ga ma pa 2005 or other realities show. I believe RAJA is the only reality show participant that has potential to make it BIG in the industry.

No doubt that all three are better singers.... but to choose the best among the winners you need to give killer performance... amanat and poonam left all the contestants back by miles when it came to singing ghazals... and today one more time amanat stole the whole show with his last performance... now to answer your 1, 2 and 3's here you go boy

4. thanks for accepting others are technically better singers... and feelings can be related to the same point in # 3... he doesnt add feelings to the song, but lets his feelings pass to the whole corwd till tears drop out of their eyes...

So in short, just forget about the comparison and make a revision by watching the competition once more.

OK, well, now I will tell you how you are wrong in your claims:

1. There is no singer in the entire world who can sing in all genres, not a single one. People say sonu nigam is versatile, but I bet he can't sing himesh's songs and expect them to be hit. Himesh is very right in saying everyone has a singing style, and vishal is very wrong when he talks about versitality. Ask Amanat to sing one of Sukhwinder's song and he will bomb it.

2. Talking about jagjit singh, as I said earlier, Amanat may have sung the ghazal very good, but his voice doesn't have what it takes to make it in the industry. What it takes is orignality. Jagjit singh was commenting on singing as a critic, but you have to impress the audience, cuz critics don't buy albums, its the masses.Mitwa variation is also present in the orignal song, if you have ever heard it.

3. That sad song that Amanat sang, anyone can sing it and make people cry, even Sameer did it from Lil Champs (go see it on youtube) and I say did a better job than Amanat. You can listen to orignal and it will also make you cry, so nothing new.

4. As I said in # 3, sameer did it beter than Amanat.

So don't ask me to watch the show again, the show is making fool out of people by banking on entertainment and not caring about actually producing good singers.

3. and 4. Revise all the judges comments (not ID, VS, or himesh) and they will give you a better answer... and in a final note... look in the postings today and see whose name rocks all over the screen...

Why does a positive post about a contestant have to end up in a comparision? If some feel Raja is good - great! He is here because he has a fan base. And if others feel Amanat is good..awesome! He too has his fans. Musical taste is a personal thing. What works for one may not work for the other. In the end there is just one winner anyways...so far in my opinion they are all good and it should not matter who wins.

ok, this is my last post regarding this topic, but here is why you are wrong:

1. Versitality doesn't mean that he will make it in the music industry, which is the claim with what i started the topic with and then you diverted the topic.

2. This website only represents the view of people with enough access to internet to indulge in such stuff, most viewers in india or pakistan don't have. Moreover I have been checking this site for long now, and don't find a huge difference in frequency of raja or amanat's name being mentioned. And Sanjay Gupta and ARA offered raja to sing in their next movie.

3. and 4. Amanat's fame is short lived, as long as he is on the screen, I have heard so many ppl saying that they listen to Raja's song on their ipod, and car player, but never Amanat, this is because, he does sing good, but is too close to the original , that listening to him or the original song will not make a difference. This not being the case with Raja.

You talk about regionalism, so just so you know ppl who u think are voting for raja, belong to the same region where the music industry is located, and they are the ones who bring in the most revenue. I also think, they should not vote based on region, but rather who they think is better. Amanat did prove that he is a good singer, but not long lasting and certainly not more than Raja. I would like to wish Raja best of luck in his career.
