I don't know about Laxman as a choice. Captainship is about leadership and I am not sure if he is a leader. Dravid's resignation and his support to the next leadership is a good opportunity to try a new face. I will risk trying Dhoni or Yuvraj at this time. NO PAIN NO GAIN..😃

ICC announced the ODI and Test team of the year in Johannesburg. Take a look

ICC Test Team of the Year Matthew Hayden, Michael Vaughan, Ricky Ponting (capt), Mohammad Yousuf, Kevin Pietersen, Michael Hussey, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Stuart Clark, Makhaya Ntini, Mohammad Asif, Muttiah Muralitharan. 12th man: Zaheer Khan.

ICC ODI Team of the Year Matthew Hayden, Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting (capt), Kevin Pietersen, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Jacques Kallis, Mark Boucher (wk), Chaminda Vaas, Shane Bond, Muttiah Muralitharan, Glenn McGrath. 12th man: Michael Hussey

Something missing?

Dravid? Does he deserve a place?

Does anybody else deserve a place in either of the teams?

I absolutely love both your choices.👍🏼 One is a born leader and other has leadership qualities yet-to-be-nurtured.😃
