@soapliker
Thanks for replying. Understand your points.

But this is what I feel about the story:

Ammaji has manged to make Khushiya , Nimmi & Preeti feel angry, jealous

and insecure about Riya. This is the actual cause for a changed Nimmi and an angry

Kaushalya. Ammaji is also causing distress and discomfort to riya

in many ways. She was responsible for Riya's tears on the pooja day, she is keeping

riya apart from Shivam & in her own room.

She also set the cooking task-probably knowing that Riya can't do it .

Also, she is instigating riya against Kaushalya & Nimmi. But to Riya's credit, she never

uttered anything against Nimmi or Kaushalya. Daadi was probably hoping

that Riya would cry & make a fuss about the saree-burning kaand of Nimmi.

Even when Daadi asked Riya-Don't you mind Nimmi shouting at you?

Riya indicated that she is not holding any grudges.

Riya is being shown to be more of a decent & dignified person.

Probably, because she is the heroine.

khushiya nimmi and preeti had to be dependent on shanti for money throughout their life.. poor nimmi and preeti have had less rights on their fathers money than sarla and her daughters..its not wrong for a mother to wish happiness for her daughters.. not like she is planning and plotting like sarla to get her daughter married into a well off family..she is just genuinely wishing happiness and luxury for them..

She's one smart cookie, she knows no way in hell Shashikala , will ever allow her daughter to marry rrichness before Sarla 's daughter.
(2) The groom to be is child like ; functioning at a younger age , maybe at a (6) yrs level.
(3) Pari, will cope very well in that family both money hungry, but I felt sorry for the groom, he will need someone like Pretty a gentle soul to love him.

I'm wondering if the younger brother is Vyom!

I agree with Soapkillers post. I also agree that Riga has no mother to teach her how to cook. But then who did the cooking in her house? Well a maid of course but knowing that she is a grown up girl and one day she will have her own family...didn't she feel like learning to cook. What about Dadi bua, her dad n her aunt etc.
Okay agree with everyone's point she was schooling so had no time for cooking...but she can't even fold the comforter/blanket properly...it was shown in today's episode. Even though dadi showed her she was not able to do it...this is worse...l mean why make her/Riya look so dumb in housework...because in the bedroom scene its shown her folding the saree nicely.

Totally loved your post and made an extremely valid point there. If Khusiya was bemoaning the fact that Riya can't cook or do housework then she can't expect a super duper rich son-of-a-deity to want to marry either a girl who doesn't have an education or one who can't speak properly, right? Can't have double standards. If K has particular expectations, nothing wrong with others having the same.
Anyway it did occur to me that yes- the first thing she spoke of was their wealth, not the (fake) miracle that saved her life. Khusiya is supposed to be sweet and innocent and naive- the first thing I would have expected her to gush about was the miracle...? Right? That's fine- she wants her daughters to marry well just like any mother wants... But it was utterly out of character. If she's meant to be so into her prayers and is so religious and lives by the old ways - like a lot of people are saying- then honestly thought the chandelier miracle would have been first thing out of her mouth.

Honestly sometimes wonder why any of us bother commenting because the writers keep changing the personalities in the characters. I doubt many of us would react to some of these situations like the characters are. You can't keep up with anyone just having certain personality traits and sticking to them. Yes people do change of course- but not from day to day for heavens sake!
