Why is Kunj's father so obsessed?

I started watching the show only a few days back. Can someone explain to me why Kunj's dad is so obsessed with getting Kunj and Twinkle married?

Because his Guru Ji told him that he was going to meet Laxmi(Goddess of money and luck) in one form or another. And from the day he met Twinkle his business started expanding and he started winning projects from his rivals.

He realised that Twinkle came into his life as a form of Laxmi and then he wanted to lock his luck with having his son married to this lucky girl who will help him grow and expand his business even more by having her presence around him and his family forever.

Because he strongly believes that Twinkle will bring in good fortune for his family. She's like his own personal incarnation of Goddess Laxmi. Also, correct me if I am wrong here, but Guruji has also said that TwiNj's horoscopes were matched really strongly with one another and bringing Twinkle into the house will basically do wonders for them. Since Manohar listens to everything that Guruji says, he's really stubborn in making sure the wedding happens.

Again, correct me if I am wrong here. I didn't get to see much of the initial episodes so I might be a bit off.

I think he is going through financial crisis and is after money of twinkle as he is a businessman and has that much brain to think if of only twink will come and everything will become okay
It is clear from today episode from what he told anant
