Raman character was loyal to the core if you see in initial episodes when Mihka MMS scandal came there were circumstantial evidence that Mihir was guilty but RKB stood by him even when there was proof but here except for Mihir lying that he came two days before anyone knew they don't have anything but they have definite proof that Rinki cheated so the affected party here is Mihir and if is was the old Raman he would have stood by Mihir but they all want this Raman to dance to the tune of Shagun so that is why he has been turned him in to a selfish person and not relatable anymore that is where the hate for Raman is coming because people cannot relate to him.

As you said it his sister that is why he is blaming Mihir I won't accept that because Simmi also was his sister but he stood by truth during Param fiasco instead of supporting his family if they have not made Shagun surrogate mother he would have stood by Mihir but they need to prove that Shagun is awesome so they have to make Raman break his bond with Mihir and then Shagun plead with him to release Mihir and he will agree to it because it is bad for the health of the baby for Shagun to be distraught so forcing Shagun down our throats they have successfully killed Raman character.
