Okay so Urmi and Shaurya married off Diya without her consent...
Not romantic at all...controlling as hell
Urmi then dropped Diya (a rape victim) off into her son's bedroom like a mother drops off a child on the 1st day of kindergarten...
not romantic but very controlling
Urmi and the whole family cook up a plan to have Diya say her feelings and of course the door is open and everybody hears when she says I love you to Shaurya...

When the family locks the lovebirds in the bedroom and they listen outside with their ears pressed against the door while the honeymooners have their first time...after, everybody will comment and give their feedback...
Oh LORD! What kind of controlling and contrived behavior is this? Is it cultural?
Honestly, everybody keeps talking about how romantic everything is but it's really pshychotic and backwards. There was sooo much potential with these two...Sigh...
