I don't think such a cruel & cunning man would let her free without any harm or keep her in his house for nothing. At that time his only trouble was Kundan's marriage which was stalled and he was furious about that. Mangala linked these two. Don't know whether she did it knowingly or unknowingly but it was good and could save the girl. Even if the parent come and claim the baby with the help of police things would be fine. Unfortunately this never happened! But if Akheraj takes the baby out with him Mangala would never know what happened to her.
