To be very honest I had not expected much to happen when I sat down to watch yesterday's episode. My expectations were definitely not that high given the current trend of events.
When it started with Kabir's news reading, or rather the tail end of it I was a bit happy to see they are living up to the title of the show.
Kabir's small chat with Ronnie and his concern about Ananya werealso quite appealing.
At Ronnie's mention that he would be going to Anaya's house my reaction was...there we go again...Anita will be maligning Kabir no end...a lot of rona-dhona and some 5-6 minutes of the episode over...but to my pleasant surprise it was kept to the minimal...although Anita not wanting to listen to kabir and scolding Armaan (who at this point in time despite being young seems to the only Kashyap who thin ks logically).
Ananya and Tinu's search was interesting and it was obvious that it would lead to nowhere. Probably this is the one way to get Kabir involved in the search for truth.
Now the most important part...Shreya walking into Kabir's home and her insinuation that Kabir's doors have always been kept open for her...I really admire her guts...she waltzes in and out of Kabir's life as and when it suits her and expects The Kabir Sharma to welcome her with open arms...If that's not wishful thinking I don't know what else could it be called...
Our EIC's unexpected response to Shreya's romantic advances took me totally b surprise. Not that I doubted even for a second that he would fall for her false pretenses but I was wondering if we would have the same old mundane track of Kabir playing up to Shreya to get the truth out from her and Ananya once again seeing all this and misunderstandings growing instead of lessening. But was I surprised at the turn the meeting took...In the short span of about 8-10 minutes Shreya's true intentions of coming back and her true face was brought to the fore.
Here I would like to applaud the creatives for handling this issue in such a subtle and mature manner. No pretensions of undying love, no blame-game by either party...but what was clear was that their pretense of friendship is over and so is the cold war between them. Now it's going an all out war between Ka-Sh and the outcome may be anything from the expected to the unexpected.
Finally how can I forget RK. I always knew he was a very good actor. And time and again in this show I have stated that he has far surpassed our expectations and his ability. But yesterday in those few minutes he has made the impossible possible. He has shown all his viewers what acting is all about. It's not about shouting, screaming, crying or sobbing. With his sarcastic smile, his softly-spoken words, the hand-kiss he gave Shreya, the tenderly coming close to her (as though he was about to kiss her- Fat chance of that), his smirk when he mentioned how wine doesn't taste nice with sugar tablets in it...and last but not the least when he mentioned Ananya..the feelings he portrayed just by his words and the intonations in his voice...any lady (sorry can't call Shreya a girl) with even a little bit of self-respect would have died of shame..as we say "chullu bhar paani mein doob marti"...Oh and how to forget that he also said something similar...about getting out of his house...
Hats off to you RK...you are definitely an actor par excellence...and EIC Kabir Sharma will live in our hearts for a long long time to come.
