Reports suggest that the wax statue will be ready for display by January 2008.

Salman Khan is all set to enter the coveted portals of Madame Tussauds. A wax statue of the Bollywood star will be soon be unveiled there.
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai are already part of the wax museum, said to be London's favourite tourist attraction.

Reports suggest that the wax statue will be ready for display by January 2008 and Salman will personally go to London to unveil the statue. Our sources confirm, Bobby Khan, who is in-charge of the Bollywood gallery at the museum, has already spoken to Salman Khan.

Salman is said to be very excited about it. The actor seems very happy about it. He will be the fourth Bollywood celebrity to have a statue there, after Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan. Salman is extremely popular overseas and commands a huge fan following. A wax statue of the star was long overdue.

A formal letter is on its way and once the formalities are completed, a team of experts will come down to India for his measurements. They will begin work on the statue, and a big launch will be held in January 2008, our source says.
Bobby Khan is currently out of the country. Salman Khan remained unavailable despite calls and SMSes.
