"Guest room mein samaan rakha hai, we have to share the room. Hope thats fine with you?" Taani told him with hesitation, after they finished their coffee and took him to her room. Rey frowned seeing her so hesitate & nervous to even talk to him but he can't blame her. He was at fault he never did tried to make her comfortable with him, in a way he is still stranger to her.
"Hum abhi bhi pati-patni hai. Tumhare saath room share karne mein mujhe kya problem hogi" Rey replied her softly. The intensity his voice held send shiver down her spine. While on the other hand few questions arose in her mind about the sudden change in his behavior, it confused her.
They were gazing at each other, looking deeply into each others eyes. She was surprise to see so many emotions in his eyes which she failed to name at that moment. Or may be she knew those emotions yet chose to ignore because she don't want to raise her hopes again about their relation and have them broken again.
"Taani" His voice brought her back into reality. Taani looked at him with questioning gaze. Rey was gazing at her, was so lost in her enchanting beauty, the red sari was making her look more beautiful.
"Ji"
"You are looking beautiful in this saree" He complimented her, for the first time ever. Taani looked at herself, did he really find her beautiful..in this simple sari. To shock to reply anything taani stood there with her head dropped in shyness which didn't go unnoticed by him.
Taani smiled softy at him causing his heart to skip a beat, they both laid down on bed silently. Sleep was far away from their reach, thousands of questions were running in their mind. With closed eyes they both laid there pretending to sleep. His mind was thinking of ways to win her back while her mind was too confuse to think any thing. The sudden visit of her husband and above all his changed behavior, he never behaved like this with her, so sweetly, softly. He compliment her..her, his wife whom he ignored for 3 damn years.
"Kya taani? Tu bhi kya sochne baith gayi. Inke baare mein sochegi toh aur confuse ho jaayegi. Soja ab." Taani told herself, putting a full stop over thinking she tried to slept. Soon she fell in sweet peaceful slumber, that was definitely peaceful sleep she had in 2 months of her separation with him. Her husband was beside her, safe and probably happy too. Though he never acknowledge her presence still she can't stop loving him, caring & worrying about him, His presence gave her peace.
Rey glance at her, when he was sure enough she was asleep he pulled the covers over her and himself. Rey shifted close to her unable to hold his urge of having her close to him. He stare at the divine beauty, love visible in his eyes. What he had done to her? Girls of her age were pampered by their husbands, enjoy their lives without any worry but what she does, tolerate his indifferent behavior toward her, always worried about hiding their relationship status from his & her family members and trying to cop up with his ignorance.
A lone tear escaped from his eyes thinking about her, will he ever be able to forgive himself for what he had done. She had tolerate everything for years, will he ever be able to make it up to her for all the pain she had suffered in those years. Will he able to bring colors back in her life? He had so many questions and only answer is earn her forgiveness.
Rey placed a light kiss on her forehead and tried to sleep, and soon he fell into deep sweet slumber in her presence.
Now he was more determined to win her back and give her world's all the happiness.
