Fire. That's what Manik Malhothra the monster was, when this journey began. He was impulsive and untamed, and ready to burn down anything and anyone who dared cross his path... Manik was arrogant and tempestuous, and had a tongue and temper to match... Then, ice-personified entered his life, and everything changed. Nandini was the one women who could stand up to his anger, oppose his and get away with it... The fire raged, waged a war, and finally calmed down, becoming a warm blaze that couldn't destroy any more, a flame that gives light and warmth and a gentle glow of happiness. Yes, He was still fiery, but that fire was now tempered by love, and He was at peace, for the first time in his life...
So, what's the next course of action? Manik's icy demeanour seems to have gone for good, thank heavens, and his soul is well on it's way to being the free-flowing serene stream as I predicted it would be... Water is quite powerful, in its own right, with the ability to raze and shape the biggest rocks in its path... so thawing the ice mustn't be too much of a problem. But for that, the flow needs to be forceful, sweeping away all resistance in a strong current. I think for as long as Manik continues to grovel and plead, ice-queen Nandini will not melt completely... So this very out-of-character, really needs to stop.
Instead, I would love to see him crowding her, clouding her senses, cutting through her indifference with his sarcastic one-liners, and in general being the self-assured Manik we know and love... When he becomes forceful, which we all know he is very capable of being, all her iciness will vanish instantly... And the Nandini we love will emerge from behind that cold shell. This is not to say that Nandu should be weak, but the fieriness of her spirit cannot and should not be curbed for long... I really don't want her to give in and accept Manik's excuses/love anytime soon, but I want the purported indifference to go and fast...Manan are characterised by passion, and they really need to fight like they did in the old times...
