IKRS 19th September 2015 ep 36 My Take
If in the first section of seeing is believing.. our sympathy is invoked for the animated, young Viplav.. this episode by the end, turns him into a bit of a tragic hero.. what was the point in setting aside his own troubles and sorrows and instead deal with the unknown task of first aiding? Just to save the life of his bundle of complaints buchiya.. she was better passed out than she was revived.. the final section of the episode plus the precap makes me think.. how vulnerable men can be as well? Viplav clearly gets blamed for something very serious that he did not do? how will he redeem his image before Dhani?? Especially as his reputation of past run ins with Dhani don't help at all.. will devi maa goddess Ambaa.. save him?? she was a witness to his intentions and subsequent actions..
Viplav stands on the step and looks down at Dhani asleep .. still.. with an arm folded on her belly. Viplav is not amused and, he moans enough of you causing me grief. Get up! what are you getting back at me for?? dear god she's drenched! she 'll get her death with cold.. this scene corresponds with the scene where he offered her his jacket in the past, refers to her catching a cold and getting a runny nose..he decides enough of standing over her ,he had to act hands on and try to revive her .it's noteworthy to see that he gingerly pulls up her pallu and tucks it all the way up under her neck.. In moments where a man contemplates assault over a woman. it's usual to go for the sari's pallu and force attack on the areas of a woman's body parts that are covered to observe the limits of decency.. Viplav never contemplated some act with malicious intent. He touches her only to revive her.. and hence forth all his actions are to aid resuscitation. He pats her cheeks to startle an awakening out of her.. they are touches of panic.. and fear ,lest she slips away.. into hypothermia.. With the vigorous pressure of his palms he desperately tries to transmit heat into her body to prompt circulation and wipes residue of cold water from her face...rubs and blows his hot breath on her palm.. Dhani! he calls and watches if she shows signs of recovery ..he begs her as he rubs his palm against hers robustly.. you even caught a chill.. get up.. he begs tenderly ..
Back at the engagement party Tania sees the still photo of Viplav's face over Dhani's face on Kanak's phone and.. and arrives at the conclusion of something between Viplav and Dhani.. where as in actual fact.. Viplav.. lowered his sided face on Dhani's mouth so he could hear her breathing.. but the phone shot tells another story.. so it's how information, media is presented and most of all to whom? But then information is also hushed and pushed under the rug when times are not right for it to be revealed.! Kanak fobs off Tania's mother 's concern of what is seen on the mobile .. Kanak sees a devasted Tania.. and herself runs for what next to do? to Dashrant.. Tania seeks an explanation from Viplav ,but his phone is unreachable.. no wonder.. it got wet. Tania trails out of the house for clear reception and finds Tripurari staring at the same Viplav Dhani picture that wreaked havoc in Tania's life..he introduces himself as Dashrant's devotee.. Tania demands to know how come he had the photo? he reeks of booze and confirms it's Viplav with that widow.. and I don't know myself about this picture where it came from ? some idiot sent it.. take a look at it, he rolls his eyes.. rubbing it in.. owns up yes he sent the picture to Kanak! What could he do? I don't have the guts to show the photo to Guru dev.. Tripurari acts casual and chummy, yet sleazy with Kanak.. but asks her if she is the girl tipped to marry Viplav? then apologizes he's drunk and didn't realize he shouldn't have talked such rubbish before her..he wants her to seem keen to know more? and sure enough Tania wants to be taken to the spot where the photo was taken.. Tripurari knows as he is a local! He jeers too that this place is where the Ganges flows through.. a place of prayers and devotion, but looking at the photo.Tripurari allows things to get worse, rather than cover up like Kanak does with Tania's mother..
Seeing is believing.. Kanak gets another mobile upshot of Viplav sitting up beside Dhani and looking down at a lying down Dhani one more!.. poor Kanak does a cover up before Tania's mother who wishes to know where Tania and Viplav were? tania's mother doesn't believe her and muses.. she is sure Kanak is covering up for her son!
Some time we show to make others belief in self glorification...Dashrant is such an unbelievably appalling man, he obscenely uses his granddaughter's obesity to prove his wealth and affluence by getting her weighed on the scales. .and balancing it , by her weight in gold.. There is no end to his arrogance and insane desire to upstage the vulnerable and the not so well off as compared to him.. shows as he offers all the gold to shalini's in laws. Here Dashrant has identified the basic avarice in the eyes of the parents and so he enjoys throwing the bone at them! disguised of course under words of humility. There is a show of great applause for the wealth of Dashrant who says to the displeased Ram, what ever belongs to me , belongs to my children.. Kanak interrupts as she passes him the phone.. take a look babu ji.. but he is approached by Ram who says.. I wish to speak to you and Dashrant only thinks in material terms and replies.. whatever it is? consider it's yours! Ram says that the gold that you weighed shalu against.. don't give it to us..as neither me nor my parents want a dowry.. we only want shalu.. but Dashrant rebuts it's not dowry, but a token of our love.. which we give to you..but Dashrant tries again.. what is shalu's is now yours and like Viplav you too are like my grandson.. but Ram gets the uppar hand and says we'll talk about this later. Kanak tries to show him the photo again .. but Dashrant goes off in a huff as Ram refused to sell his integrity and self respect to Dashrant, who was out to buy Ram's submission and subservience..
A storm rages. As a miserable viplav sits on folded legs beside Dhani her hand clasped in his hands.. the rumble of the storm throws him even more and he gets even more confused at his loss to do more for her revival.. he worries rain might make her more wet.. he would have to move her from the steps of the mandir and carry her up to shelter.. he lifts her up, and slowly carries her up the steps. .and then up the second set of steps he carries her up in his arms... up to the space beneath the altar! all the while he props up her back and calls to her , come on Dhani! He yells for help.. looks around needing assistance.. padit phool, turns up and peers down at the laid flat on her back widow , from the side of the altar.. Viplav lifts her sole and rubs them with his palms to aid blood circulation.. his desperation grows two fold as he leans over her upheld by both his arms posted against each side of her body.. the half dead sight of Dhani.. makes him realize as he feels her body quiver and shiver under his hands! what on earth is he going to do? the sense of responsibility is admirable.. he found her and he couldn't possiblyhave left her. now he feels he needs to nurse her back to reality.. it's common human courtesy if nothing else..
Tripurari brings Tania over to the mandir and she demands to know where Viplav is?.. Viplav stands up and shouts for help . paces and calls out for the pandit! looks down at the still figure of Dhani underneath the devi maa's altar..he climbs over her to the other side, sinks down on his legs and resumes rubbing her palm , breathes heavily on her palm, held close to his mouth..and he blows..then wipes her cheeks with the sides oh his arms; bends his face over hers as he intently studies her hooded eyes.. looking for any sign of life on her still face.. feels her face with one of his palms and cups her cheek with the other palm.. In desperation he looks at devi maa and cries out to her.. now you tell me the way out! and then soon after his eyes catch sight of the folded sari on the side of the altar... and he looks up into the goddesses eyes.. was he thinking what she wants him to do? he takes the red sari.. looks at it then looks at the cold shivering passed out Dhani before the altar.. he ponders..
Tania and Tripurari walk across the grunds of the mandir.. and Viplav turn his head to devi maa and touches his ear.. as his pardon..[ the music of LTL!!] and Viplav opens the red sari and stretches it across Dhani first.. then hurls it over her on the other side of her fainted body.. and with a furrowed face he joins his hands and prays and with a solemn face.. begins to unravel and loosen her white sari off.. under the watchful guarding eyes of the goddess Ambaa ! Viplav's face sweats and shows discomfiture.. it is something that he hated doing but had to! he jumps over Dhani dressed in red, to her other side and fixes the red pallu across her bodice over her shoulder.. Dulari wakes up startled in bed and hyperventilates ,my buchiya... barges over to Dhani's room and finds a sleeping Suvarna asks her where Dhani was.? she replies half asleep she went to the mandir! to break her fast, she'll return soon you go to sleep.. but Dulari worries it's so late and Dhani hasn't returned..
Viplav fixes and ensures her sari is fitted properly ,as he looks down at her still .. lying flat figure on the floor.. Tripurari and Tania arrive in full view of the altar.. Viplav props her up. pandit phool takes yet another picture.. Viplav tries to sit her up.. Tripurari looks up and then phool and his eyes meet.. Viplav's continues to pat her cheek and calls out to her.. get up please.. her body is still shivering.. and he resumes rubbing her palms and soles.. to create heat in her body Dhani!! he calls and jumps over to the other side and then in panic he looks into devi maa's eyes and prays fervently with joined hands before her to revive Dhani! and Dhani chest heaves a bit.. Tripurari deliberately takes Tania's away from the scene.. to prove he's faithful to the family and is looking out for her as well.. what more does Tania need to believe ? but Tania is shocked as she sees Viplav' sback bent over Dhani.. his body heaves slightly.. as she sees closely, his fingers spread closely over her cheeks and what looks from a distance his mouth over Dhani!.. Tripurari is a bit taken aback by Viplav's passion.. while Tania is devastated and her mouth drops in shock!.. Viplav's upper back and body seems to heave over her face.. under him.. as Tania watches from the steps of the mandir.. she runs off in disgust and Tripurari moves his eye back to phool and gives him a thumbs up..phool had photo graphic evidence of what transpired.. is this another serious incident that Viplav will be blamed for?? like the liquor one.. Tripurari , pacifies Tania and tells her , this is a usual past time of rich young lads, they come and take advantage of innocent young girls.. may be Viplav roped her in??. no I mean babaa is innocent himself.. Tania sits in the car and Tripurari drives her own
Seeing is believing.. the change that occurs in Viplav.. what a pity Dhani is not in her senses to note the change.. once Viplav played a serious prank on Dhani..poured bitter alcohol in the small vessel that contained the holy water of the Ganges.. his prank made her life bitter.. now he uses the same vessel from the devi's altar adds sugar,sweetens it to give her, to raise her sugar level.. Dhani 's breathing is still inconsistent and Viplav looks at the altar table in panic and sees sugar cubes.. throws them in a small vessel with Ganges water, gives it a shake and stirs the sugared water and then looks at Dhani on the floor .. sits her up.. and her face push's into the side of his chest, he twists his arm around her back.. slowly, drags and moves her back to the pillar and props her back against the pillar and holds her face gently and rests her head firmly against the golden pillar of the mandir .Then swiftly before her head slumps to the side.. he holds the vessel of sugared water around the rim and presses it against her lower lip and carefully helps her drink the sweet liquid and then begged her.. Dhani please wake up Dhani.. wake up Dhani.. Dhani! Up up! and he slaps her cheek and wakes her up to drink more water.. and she does and he slaps her cheek to wake up from the slumber.. she moves her eyebrows and drowsily she sees his smiling face.. and relieved he moves forward and grabs her and embraces her to his chest and says oh god!oh god ..thank heavens you have become conscious again! and Dhani looks over his shoulder and frowns.. I got so worried ,he sighed in relief and said oh thank god! and she pushes him away and looks up at him accusingly .. there is no denying after what is seen..Tania's mother takes the phone from Viplav's mother and looks at the picture.. and looks accusingly at Kanak . Tania returns looking a right state... all ask her what's happened? her mother asks the reason for her crying. Tania admits she went to see viplav. Her mother snapped wasn't what you saw on the mobile enough? that you sent to see that filthy act yourself? Kanak is ashamed.. Tania's mother carries on what did you get, pain , humiliation? what was the point of forcing that man who didn't want to you in the first place? if he didn't want to get engaged it only means one thing! he has some relationship with that widow! he is spoil rich brat of dubious character! that's why his family was forcing youto marry him! dadi asks, if something had happened and Tania's mother replied ,did she really want to know? why is Tania crying? ask your daughter in law! Kanak ji what were you saying a short while ago? that babu ji always does something to shock every one! what would he say now that this is what his grandson? I want to go and ask that great pandit that why did he play such a horrendous game with us? if his son preferred to galavant about in banaras with that widow! then why did he get him engaged to my daughter!why did he do this? where is that great pandit? I want to ask him why did he play such a despicable game with us? and she storms off. Kanak begs Tania to stop her mother before something terrible happens!
Dhani is in a hurry to get up and Viplav tells her to be careful.. and then since she's still groggy he closes his arms around her to help her to get up.. slowly and gently he says ut she pushes him away roughly and he says hey? but she questions what are you doing here?and how did I get here ? and this sari who changed me? and he says will you be quiet! let me explain.. you fell in the water! and I carried you and brought you here! your body shivered with cold! She yells you know where my ashram is? then why didn't you take me there? why here?? and he argues, wgy don't you understand you were in no condition to be taken any where!! your body turned blue with cold! So I thought it best to bring you here! but Dhani asks him , what did you do to me? and he goes what? how did you change my sari?andhe says look..hni you were wetand were shivering that'swhy I changed your sari!.. looks up him . crying looking at him accusingly and thenshe lands a tight resounding slap across his face!..and Viplav presses the same palmhe used to warm her into revival.. to feel the smart of he palm across his stubble cheek..she tightens her pallu tightly around her and runs to the side of the altar... hamlet53 21.9.15
