Post KAL HO NA HO, Nikhil Advani has not been capable of directing another film that would find success at the box office. His last film, HERO, has seen a drop in collections on weekdays.
KATTI BATTI too will find it tough at the box office, especially given the fact that Imran Khan has become a flop star in recent years, with his last film GORI TERE PYAR MEIN having a disastrous 2.75 crore opening day at the box office. Kangana Ranaut is a star, but there is only so much a female star can do for a film, and she won't be able to save this film.
Also, the film does seem stupid, with a lot of emphasis on kissing for some odd reason...
The film did get Aamir Khan emotional, but given the fact that Nikhil Advani has had only one successful film in his career, this film likely to not work at the box office! Also, Aamir Khan did actually go a bit wrong earlier this year: he predicted DIL DHADAKNE DO to be one of the biggest hits of the year at the box office, but the film seems to have gotten just an Average verdict at the box office.
