The biggest problem if you ask me is that

Ishita is not sharing her pain with Raman

She is trying to console him

It is as If halato se samjhauta kar liya hai

That is increasing the guilt and desperation manyfold for Raman

If she had a nice conversation with him

It would not have been case

Now her behaviour earlier

And her behaviour now makes it clear

She is compromising

And that makes Raman sad and heartbroken
