How critical is Tamasha to RK's career

I know the chances of Tamasha going wrong are quite less due to star pair and a very good director.
The movie is in Imtiaz's strong hold of romantic lovestories. Nadiawalas really go all out for promotions and know how to get the numbers. So the movie has a hit written all over it.

But then nothing is guaranteed and if by some chance it flops then Imtiaz will get away with it, as he is due a failure after decent success in the last 8 years and Deepika has been doing quite well for sometime and has good projects going on parallely.

But for Ranbir it is extremely critical.

In case Tamasha flops, ADHM might become less reliant on Ranbir and another male actor with decent following could be put in as there is space in it opposite to Aish.

Jagga Jasoos as it is heard is going to become a TV series after all the news of it getting shelved. It seems JJ's release is now totally dependent on how Tamasha goes.

I think if Tamasha fails Ranbir will be in Dec 2016 where Abhishek Bachchan was in 2010.
Someone that can be written off.
He might bounce back but he will be never be written in the same line as SRK,Salman or Hritik and may be someone like Varun or Sid or Tiger might overtake him in 2-3 years time after 2016.
