How easily I had set aside all the difficult times Arnav and Khushi have been going through. Happy to bask in the care they have for the other as you slowly unveiled it. It had been buried in the dark recesses of their mind and I forgot that wanting to shine light on it means tunnelling my way through the darkness. A lost footing may mean being plunged into the shadows again.
You could sense Arnav's frustration building up throughout the party. So many tiny, little niggly things occurring all around him. Overheard snippets of conversations needling him. Inconsequential when taken in isolation, but culminating in a whole which would be bound to irritate him. I think what's adding to it is also his irritation with himself for feeling that way. And, as you said, seeing her unfettered laughter brought home to him sharply just how much it had been missing.
He's moved forward in so many ways. His unhesitating cuddling of Bella was wonderful to see. But, as you have shown, miles to go ...
