Kangana has made a lot of improvement in her dialogue delivery especially in TWMR...Amy's char demands innocence,mysterious and greyer shades...Kangana's performance in Queen,Fashion and Woh Lamhe makes this role tailor made for her...The other actress who would pull this off is PC...

don't think so Kareena can pull of the greyer side of the char convincingly...

From the 90's definitely Urmilla (Ek Haseena Thi) and Tabu...

Director like Sriram or Sujoy would b the ones who could direct this one well...

don't want the remake to this film as BW filmmakers might ruin it...

@IALB - I loved the fact that Rosamund Pike was chosen. Unknown face created the shock value. Besides, she also happened to be beautiful and an accomplished actor. She would have won the Oscar, had it not been for the sympathetic portrayal by Julianne Moore in Still Alice. The latter is a great actress too. Have you seen her in Maps to the Stars?

@raj80 - I prefer Kangana over PC for this role because she will get both the fake and real Amy right. PC will do justice to real Amy though.

BW may ruin this classic. But I do like Sriram and Sujoy;s suggestion. Actually, I would think Anurag Kashyap will do a fine job too.

if RGV were sane, I would have picked him.

No I haven't. But it is on my list of movies to watch. Julianne Moore is a great actress so I was happy she won. Still Alice does tug at your heart strings because it's from the point of view of the patient, more so in the book than the movie. That's another thing a this great about Gone Girl, the movie doesn't deviate from the book at all. I guess it helps that Gillian Flynn wrote the screen play as well.

PC for me! I think PC is the only actress who totally gets into the skin of the character & does things no-one expects of her.
I disagree that PC can't pull off soft innocent- Barfi is a very big example of that. I think PC can pull off anything, that's what I'm felt from her career. I think if she decides to pull off something, she can! She is very determined. The psychotic part would be a dream for her, th soft, innocent part would be challenging but I think she'll do it! When I think she can't, she does it amazingly!
