Rightly said...although not a lead she was definitely one of the central character of the show. No idea where this story is heading towards,...

She played a really important role in the lives of the leads so her character just ending doesn't make sense, they could have at least used her to realize that Mantu is really incomplete without Amaya and then her telling him that Amaya always loved him so that it kick started Mantu's endeavor to find out the truth behind the shaadi. It would have given Uma a proper closure and a track to follow for Mantu

Wow that's a shocker!

I mean she is such a good actor that she made us hate Uma! Literally I means hats off to Mrinal for such intense and on point acting! Imma miss Uma in a strange way! Grr...these days CV's are going crazy.

i always thought that her character was going to stay long. And by her character sketch, she was not the kind of person who was gonna bow down easily. But as u said, instead of utilizing her, CV's are simply bringing new characters to make the plot more interesting (as they say it) and side-casting those who have established themselves in the show.
