Playing it by the year
Himesh Reshammiya
In an industry where competitors can't be friends, there is a unique example set by Shekhar Ravjani (of music duo Vishal-Shekhar) and Himesh Reshammiya. Both these music directors met on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and became great friends. In fact, Himesh has now changed his plans of announcing all his films next year. A superstitious Shekhar told Himesh to commence most of his projects this year as 2007 has been a very fruitful year for the latter.

Shekhar says, "Himesh is a great guy. Everyone says that Himesh is very lucky but they forget that he is a hardworking guy. I personally feel that this year has been a great year for him and whatever he has touched has been successful. His acting career took off in a big way and he has been signed by some very promising filmmakers. He even got the best debut award on Koffee with Karan and now he is all set to perform at the prestigious Heineken arena in Amsterdam where only artistes like Beyonce, Norah Jones and Pink Floyd have performed."
Himesh immediately agreed with what Shekhar had to say.
A source close to Himesh says, "Himesh has lot of respect for Shekhar and they are great friends. When Shekhar pointed out the importance of announcing his new projects this year, Himesh immediately agreed to do so. Himesh will now announce all his three films after the shraadh period and will also go on floors with one of them by 2007 end. He is even trying to start shooting for Karz this year. Right now, he is busy composing songs for his upcoming films."
