CHAPTER 3
Rey came back after preparing all things for dinner. He saw taani was standing on a ladder , trying to get a book from upper shelf.
"Taani , come down. I will take it out." Said rey as he saw she was stratching her hand to get the book.
"Just a minute rey , i'll get it." Said taani looking at rey with a smile.
"Careful taani." Instruct rey to her.
"Ya rey , i - aahhh " her leg slipped from the ladder. She closed her eyes tightly waiting for the floor to hit her body. But soon she felt a strong pair of arms was holding her. Without her knowledge her hand went around his shoulder.
Rey who was holding her , found himself lost in her. Few strands of her hairs were on her face. Her eyes were closed due to fear. And her arms were around his neck. Their faces were close. Taani felt his hot breath colliding on her face. She opened her eyes and found him staring at her without even blinking. His chocolate brown orbs were so attractive. She saw love and care for her in his eyes. She got lost in his brown orbs. Her ocean blue hazzle balls were affecting rey. He felt like he had never ever seen beautiful eyes like her. He came more closer to her face , but taani came in to her sense.
"Thanks rey." Said taani breaking his daydream.
"You okay na?? Bola tha ki i'll get it but no , kisiki sunti kaha ho tum." Rey scolded her. He was constantly speaking and taani was smilling at him. She couldnt hear what he said , she was lost in him.
"And why are you smilling? Am i cracking a joke here?" Rey frowned as he saw her smilling.
Taani came into her sense ," sorry , actually you were behaving like mumma." Said she.
"Ab agar tum itni careless rahogi to of course i have to become your mumma." Said rey , still taani was in his arms.
"Ok ok mumma , please put me down now." Said taani , giggling at him.
When taani said him to put her down he came to know he was talking like this. He scolded himself in his mind and made her stand on her feet.
"Thanks for saving me." Said taani with a smile.
"No thanks yar , we are friends." Said rey "come , dinner is ready."
"Ya...lets go." Taani said and both came upstair.
"Where will we have dinner?? Dinning table pe to kuch nahi hai." Taani asked as she caught the dinning table empty.
"We will take our dinner at a special place." Said rey.
"Special place??" Asked taani with confusion.
"Yes , you have to come with me." Said rey holding her hand.
"Okay." Said taani. She didnt mind when he held her palm in his.
Both came out to the backside of the farm house holding each others hand.
"You know , after walking few minutes , there is a lake. Its a beautiful place." Said rey. Both were walking through the path of grass and there were trees on the both side of path. Trees were decorated with small lamps and it was looking like fairyland in the darkness.
"Oh my god , Mene itni khoobsurat jagah kabhi nahi dekhi." Said taani , ogling around the path.
I arranged this specially for you taani. he said to himself and smilled looking at their intertwined hands. He felt good because taani was feeling comfortable with their hands intertwined.
"You know taani , whenever i feel so lonely , happy , sad i come here. Its a place which no one know , my secret place. You are the first one to know about this place." Said rey , making taani turn towards him.
"Really??" Asked taani with surprise.
"Yup , me agar kahi bhi na milu to yahi pe milunga." Said rey to her as they reached near lake where rey had arranged a perfecf dinner table for couple.
"This is so beautiful." Said taani looking at the table. "The view is very very beautiful from her. So pure , heart touching." Said taani looking at the lake which was visible due to the traditional lamps.
"Come." Said rey to her. He pulled a chair for her like a perfect gentelman. She smilled and sat. Rey sat infront if her and started to serve the food.
"Wow , Baingan ka bhurta." Said taani with glittering eyes. "Its my favourite." She continued.
"Yup , i know . Thats why i told kaka to make this special dish for you." Rey replied.
In reply she smilled back to him. He served two more sabji and chapati and masala rice in her dish.
"You know this place is very special for me as well as its memories." Said rey.
"This special dinner also?" Taani asked.
"Yes" rey replied without thinking.
Taani looked at him. She felt butterflies in her stomach and she looked down. Both started eating while talking about eachother. First time rey saw her talking open heartedly. He felt proud that he was the reason of her happiness today.
Both were sitting near the lake after dinner.
"Taani , can i ask you something?" Reyasked to her.
"Ya sure." Taani replied.
"Umm...vo...tum jo davai leti ho roz , i know its your personal matter. Its okay if you dont want to share." Rey said looking at the ground.
"It happened in my childhood." Taani started , rey looked at her. Her face was expressionless.
A 14 year old taani was alone in the house. Swayam was ai school and her mother at office.
"Bhai kyu nahi aaye ab tak." She thought and just then the doorbell rang. She ran to open the door , and when she opened the door , he was not swayam. He was swayam's senior friend , three year elder than him.
"Bhai ghar nahi aaye hai ab tak." Said taani with a stern face. She very well know this boy has dirty eyes on her.
"I m here to meet you taani. Kyu tum har waqt uss rey ke sath hoti ho?" Said he and barged in the house forcefully.
Taani tried to punch him on his face but he stopped it in mid way. He pulled her closer to him and taani punched him in his eyes with another hand. It angered him more and he tore her top sleeve and said ," you are mine.
"You ass**le" taani screamed at him and gave him a karate chop.
"You are not blackbelt champion taani." Said he and punched her hard in her stomach. The punch was so hard that blood came out of her mouth. She felt everything moving round. He held her from her hairs , but she hit him in between his legs , making him groan in pain. She smirked at him. He came near and punched her second time in her stomach , in reply taani took a flowervase from nearby table and hit him on his head. His head started bleeding , still he was in his sense. He cornered her and tried to remove her top when she pushed him with all her strength that he fell down on the floor. She was going to hit him in his stomach with her leg when swayam barged in. He found his friend lying on floor and when he saw taani , he understood everything.
"Bhai , i ...i wil...kill him." Taani said with angry tone.
"You" swayam said to him. He made him stand on his feet and punched him in his face. He was going to hit swayam , when taani held his hands and swayam punched him numerious time.
"Agar ab meri behen ke aaspaas dikhe bhi to i will kill you." Said swayam and dragged him out of the house.
When he came back he found taani unconcious on the floor.
"Because of that hard punches , i have to take medicines. It still affects me. Doctor said i cant eat more spicy food , i cant even dance , icant even learn karate which was left in between because of him. Because it pains whenever i do this." She wiped her tears , which rolled down on her cheeks.
"He snatched my happiness from me rey. Thats why i started to read books and left dance." Taani said.
Rey immidiately pulled her in a warm hug. Taani also hugged him back feeling relaxed in his arms.
"Swayam never told me about this." Said rey.
"Because i said not to tell to anyone." Said taani coming out of his arms.
"Who was he taani?." Rey asked.
"Will you be able to hear his name?" Taani asked him in reply.
"I want to know." Said rey , anger was visible in his eyes for that guy..
"Then listen rey , he was " taani replied , rey was impatient to hear his name.
"He was Roshan. " taani replied , making him confuse with the name.
"Roshan Singhania , your elder brother." Taani said , making rey clench his teeth.
"M sorry taani." Rey said pulling her in a bone crushing hug.
"Its okay rey , i trust you thats why i m here with you , despite of you being his brother." Taani said on his chest.
"I'll never forgive him." Said rey.
"Uski saza usse mil gayi na rey. He is in jail , for supplying drugs and for kidnapping girls to sell." Said taani.
"Agar tumhe kuch bhi ho jata to.?" Rey said , tears rolled down on his cheek.
"I m okay rey , infact i fought with him." Said she.
"I know , you are so brave." Said rey.
"I know i am." Said taani with a smile.
Rey wiped his tears and broke the hug.
"Okay lets go. Otherwise swayam will kill me." Said rey , making her giggle at him.
"Ya ok. Chalo." Said taani but she sat down clutching her stomach.
"Taani you okay??" He asked her and held her in his arms.
"Rey , its paining. I think because of food. It was spicy. " taani said.
"Taani then why you ate? Mujhe nahi pata tha but You know you cant eat." Rey hissed at her , taking her in his arms.
"Agar nahi khati to aapko bura lagta na?" She answered back , making him look at her.
"Meri kabse itni parvah karne lagi.?" He asked as he started to walk. He waited for her reply , but found her unconcious in his arms.

He put her on the bed and immidiately dialled swayam's number.
"Hello swayam , yaar taani fainted because of pain , what should i do yar , i m so worried for her , agar usse kuch ho gaya to?? Swayam bol na idiot .." rey said this in one breath.
"Offo , tu bolne ka chance dega tab bolunga na , dont freakout...just wake her up. Uski medicine uske purse me hai , give it to her with milk ." Swayam replied. He was worried for her , but feeling rey was freaking out he didnt show it to him.
"Ya okay , thanks." Rey said.
"Achha sun "
"Ha bol.."
"Bola tha na like kab love me badal jayega pata nahi chalega." Swayam said making rey think about it.
"Hmm.." rey replied to him.
"Achha vo taani medicine leti hai because-"
"I know swayam , taani told me about it." Rey said to him.
"Thik hai , ab jaldi ghar aana varna possessive bhai ban jaunga , samjhe JIJAJI?"Swayam teased him.
"Ha ha sale sahab , samajh gaya." Rey replied "ab phone rakhu? Taani ko medicine bhi deni hai."
"Chal bye"
"Bye"
He hungged up and went near taani. He held her palm in his palm and placed a kiss on it. Then he took a glass of water and sprinkled few drops on her face.
Taani opened her eyes and saw his worried face. He took her purse and said , "i'll get milk"
She underdtood about what he was talking. She took out her medicine and he went un kitchen to bring a glass of milk.

Taani was lying on bed. When rey said to leave she asked him that she want to rest for half an hour. She slept there , and rey was standing near the window.
"I hate you more Roshan." Rey said , looking out of the window. His face showing anger for his own brother. "I'll never forgive you , never." He thought.
