I wasn't evn gonna update today as I'm in a really bad mood..But still hope that you like it enough to share ur views through comments

Chapter 17 ⭐️ -

Manik's POV-
Hmm...it's the first day of our new beginning and also the weather..so romantic!! This day has to be made a memorable one!!

It had been raining the entire night as if clearing every ill nd jinx left..for these two new in love. Where one was making plans...the other was wrapped cozily in her quilt..deep in her lazy morning slumber.Chachi had tried to wake her up but she didn't give up on her sleep too..like she doesn't on anything else so easily.But then a phone call disturbed this Princess's royal sleep.She picked it up and spoke in an irritated tone...

N-'Hello!! Who's this..koi itni subhe phone karta hai kya...tum jo bhi ho pehle time dekho..Bye!!'

'Oh God!! This girl..sachi...kitna soti hai!!' he said ruffling his hair...and with an all time stupid smile on his face..he dialed her number again... and again she picked it up with utter irritation...

N-'Hello..!! Kon hai'(like a child)..
M-Good Morning Princess..(in his ever charming tone)

She was startled but still...this Princess of her Prince didn't move an inch out from her bed...

N-'Oh Manik!! bolo...Nai(she cut him in between)Tum mat bolo hum baadme baat karenge...tumhari neend kharab ho gayi toh mujhe toh sone do...jab sun aajayega na..subhe ho jaayegi na.tab call karna!' she said in a sleepy tone and again cut the call..

'Hmm...Ms.Murthy...aapko toh aaj main hi uthaunga.' And he got up to go to her..but then his smarty brainy gave him a someother plan...and that was.

...to irritate her 😆 He called her up again...

N-'Kya hai Manik..sone do na...kyu pareshan karrahe ho' (again in a sleepy tone)
M-'Enough Nandini!!' (his tone a bit loud)
N-(got up and sat on the bed startled) Huh!! Haan..!? Kya hogaya chilla kyu rahe ho...(holding her head)
M-Kabse main baat karne ki koshish karraha hoon...tum ho ki baat hi nai sun rahi..he said faking anger but laughing cheekily..
N-Toh tum chilla kyu rahe ho huh..!! Mujhe tumse baat nai karni...jao tum..bye!!
M-Aree..aree..aree Nandu!! wait listen...main mazaak kar raha tha yaar tumhe jagaane ke liye...but seems like mera mazaak mujhpe hi bhaari pad gaya..
N-Toh tumne mujhpar chillaya...huh!! Mujhu tumse koi baat nai karni..neend toh tumne kharaab kar hi di ab phone bhi mat karna..she almost shouted and cut the phone..
M-Shit!! Manik Malhotra what did you say haan..smarty brainy na..see how smart its ideas are...

Nandini was hell irritated and she got ready n came out..on the other hand Manik came to her place to manaofy her and now was talking to Chachi..

N-Ye Monkey Malhotra yahan kya kar raha hai Chachi...!! she said gritting her teeth.
M-Chachi...baat ye hai ki..maine Nandu ko call kiya aur wo bina baat sune hi phone kaat rahi thi.10 baje phone kiya..par phir bhi kehti hain itni subhe kyu call rahe ho Manik..sun aane ke baad call karna (imitating her)..toh maine thoda mazaak kiya aur uspe thoda chillaya..
Ch-Mazaak kiya aur chillaya hain..!?..Par jo bhi ho tune Nandu pe chillaya kyu haan...!? She said holding his ears..
M-Aree Chachi maine toh mazaak mein chillaya na...Acha Ok Ok...Sorry!!
N-Hmm...she said with pride and placed her hands on her hips..and immediately muttered a 'It's okay!!' With a warning..'par agli baar meri neend mat kharab karna...warna main baat nai karungi..!!'
M-'Woh toh main karunga hi karunga!! Akhir mazaa ushi mein toh hai' he said winking..
N-Chachii...dekho na
Ch-Bas ab tum dono jhagadna band karo aur naashta karo...main jaarahi hoon.!! Manik..Nyonika tayar hai na.!?
M-Haan Chachi..jab main aaya tab wo conference pe thi...par ab tak tayar ho gayi hongi...
Ch-Thik hai..!! And she left.
M-Hmm..!! ( he said rubbing his hands n moving close to Nandini who was engrossed in a movie..) So...!?
N-So what...!!? (She turned towards him)
M-Aree...Mom n Chachi nai hai..baaki sab abhi tak bed se utre bhi nai honge..I'm sure. But except Dhruv I guess...Tabhi toh I woke you up...So tell me..what do ya wanna do!?
(They were having a holiday coz of the ball)
N-Haww...!! Tumne isliye meri neend kharab ki...
M-Of course...so..let's go out on a stroll.
N-Stroll pe jaane k liye mujhe kyu uthaya huh..!! Kisi aur ko lejaate..
M- Coz Princess...we're not just friends na now. (He said coming close to her ear)
N-Toh then...
M-Toh..!! U r my 'Before Anyone Else'..my BAE he said entwining their hands and making her blush..
N- Par mujhe baarish mein nai bheegna Manik..she said looking at him..smartly diverting the topic
M-Okay..!! So where does Princess wanna go...he asked to which she shrugged her shoulders..
M-Hmm...what about coffee...n then aakar we'll wake everyone up and watch a movie..!?
N-Sounds good...she said excited.But hum movie dekhne jaayenge..I wanna watch Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible plsss...
M-I didn't know that you like such movies too..Tom Cruise is OK haan..(he himself liked him but the thought that SHE liked him..made him feel jealous...he didn't want to be but he was..He composed himself saying "Relax Manik..thodi na she's gonna run away with him..it's just a celebrity crush")
N-Aree kya farak padta hai...I like Tom Cruise na..n Tom Cruise koi bhi bakwaas movie nai karta..main na sab girls ko mana lungi..Everyone loves him..
M-Aur mera kya..!?
N-Kya tumhara...tumhe nai dekhni..!? Toh it's okay..hum girls baadme dekh lenge...it's fine she said with a smile...
M-(he felt like banging his head as to what he wanted her to think n what she was thinking) That's why I thought of taking it step by step...he said to himself..
N-Huh..!? Kya bolrahe ho Manik..
M-Nothing..if you want hum wohi movie jaayenge..n now lets leave...baadme mahabharat ki jung ladni hai na..sabko uthana jo hai😆
N-Thank you Manik..ur the bestt..!?

Not that he didn't want to spend time with her alone but he knew...it's just the beginning and from friends to something for eachother so suddenly would be too fastt...so he had to go slow..but also take steps towards being that someone to her...he wanted to be with her all the time..talk with her...adore her... admire her...get lost in her..become a waste drowning in her... He wanted to hug her...hold her...and never let her leave his side...but that would make her feel awkward at this point of time.He wanted her to trust him..Not that she didn't...but in a way people in love do...They say friendship is greater than love...but what about friends falling in love..it was something indescribable. Though it was a long way to go to reach love... but at some point of time..he had all his hopes..all his strength put in to make this work out.She was not a normal find for him...definitely not!! He loved her and this was sure by him as clear as ice..as hard as steel..something that nothing could change.
