I think Vidya in Kahaani when she's crying because I then realised we she had won best actress that year. The whole itself was about her. Very powerful performance.

Okay this is a very tough topic because there are just so many such scenes!

But I think one which instantly comes to my mind in Kajol crying over her dead son's body in MNIK. That scene devastated me and I actually cried, like properly cried, and I feel a big reason for that was Kajol's performance. There is a deleted scene as well from the film where SRK places his face on Sam's chest. I think it was a brilliantly enacted moment because he couldn't be outrightly expressive given that the character was autistic, yet one could feel his grief and anguish. KJo should've kept that scene in.

Another scene which I feel wouldn't have had the same emotional impact on me if it was enacted the way it was is in DCH after Tanhayee. Aamir Khan was so good in making us feel his character's loneliness at the time, it was totally believable that his father could tell so over the phone and asked him to come back.

I'll add more as I remember them. This are two from the top of my head.

Ramji Londonwaley climax! When Madhavan is released of all charges and told he can stay back in London, he says he wants to go home because his sister is now settled and he doesn't need all the money anymore. All the success is of no use if his relatives can't benefit from it.

'London mein hum ek kamyaab bawarchi aur adhoore insaan ban kar reh jaaenge'

^He said something like this. And how all the money he won from a competition will help fulfil a lot of dreams. He starts talking normally, then gradually the emotions start building up in his voice till he finally breaks down as he goes on. I thought the entire transition was amazing.
