It was ahead of its times. That's the main reason why many of these amazing films didn't work back in the day.

Like someone mentioned earlier, the ending was a letdown. After all the build-up, it all happened rather abruptly and hence was quite underwhelming. Otherwise, I thought this was a near flawless film packed with powerful performances and magic in the name of music. An absolutely delightful watch imo❤️
