Director Maneesh Sharma made a smashing debut with a Yash Raj film, Band Bajaa Baraat in 2010. Thanks to this film, Maneesh established his position as a commercial Bollywood director. He in a leading daily, reveals that he has for long harbored a dream of working with his Fan actor, Shah Rukh Khan.
He tells the leading daily that the process of making Fan was extremely special to him, because his idolShah Rukh Khan is associated with the project. "The process of making this film and the relationship with SRK as a director has been extremely special for me," he quips excitedly.
He goes on to reveal that Shah Rukh was the ultimate star who made a permanent impression on him while he was growing up. During his tumultuous teens, SRK's films Darr and Baazigar (both released in 1993), had an impact on him.
"I will only say one thing about SRK the actor; there is no better team player than him. Of course, he is a big star, a superb actor and he's really energetic, but he brings a lot to table with kind of experiences he has had.He shot a few sequences when he was hurt but he didn't let it affect the crew's energy on the sets of Fan," reveals Maneesh
