Do Ash, Kareena, Bipasha dominate their men? | ||||||
In the film industry, there are some handsome couples, where the lady is more popular than her better half. Problem? A Chinese survey conducted recently showed that when a husband earns twice as much as his wife, a marriage can be considered to be secure, and potentially long lasting. That means, "the couple is most likely to communicate on an equal footing, and enjoy a harmonious sex and home life." That is to say that, discrepancies in earnings, social status or position on the fame scales could well rock a marriage or relationship. With the increasing break ups in our film industry, is it possible that similar issues have caused the split? Since the female counterparts in the relationship threaten to override the man's popularity, does the male ego come into play? The first couple that allegedly called their relationship off was Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. Though John enjoys much popularity today, Bipasha made her mark way before he did. And though his popularity eventually soared, Bipasha was never too far behind. With winners like Dhoom 2 and the tremendous success of Beedi Jalai Le (Omkara), this steamy couple suddenly called it quits. And while John has been linked with an Indian model post the link, Bipasha seems to be in more enviable company - partying with the likes of footballer Ronaldo. John may have international projects under his belt, but Bips, too, has only recently made public her plans to work and make it big on global shores. Following in their footsteps, unfortunately, was the handsome duo, Lara Dutta and Kelly Dorjee. While big things (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Partner ) were happening for Lara - she is an ex-Miss Universe, and an actress doing well for herself - Kelly was left quite in the lurch. After having to close shop with his ambitious modeling school called Suede, Kelly managed to bag a few character roles in films. But that may just not have been enough. Kelly hails from a Royal family and has enough and more financial stability, but then, Lara was much more popular and asked after than he was. Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor were madly-in-love with each other. Both were going steady and their relationship had outlasted many a soothsayer-like predictions. And then stories of these two's relationship having bitten the dust came about. Kareena is obviously the more well-known and famous film personality. Sushmita Sen , too, has had her spate of fall ins and fall outs. And though she loves to be in love with herself, her daughter and her men, her relationships haven't ever lasted too long, and often made it to the 'finished line' before the race had actually begun. It can be remembered that Sush was of course the one who garnered more attention from the public and paparazzi alike, than say a Randeep Hooda or then a Manav Menon. However, having said this, the success of Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan's marital bliss comes as a pleasant exception. And though Malaika is ahead by miles on the popularity charts, this handsome duo seems to have an 'equal footing' of sorts when it comes to their union back home. In fact Arbaaz himself has claimed many-a-time that his house runs thanks to his wife. Now it does take a man to admit to that, too, and the surrender of the male-hardy ego, let us tell you, can be a difficult thing. But let's touch wood to this wonderful pair that's going great guns.
ok im confused, are john and bips together?? because for some reason its being reported everywhere theyre not... does anyone else get the feeling theyre just sticking around for the release of their movie??? and theyre appearing together and releasing statements about their status just so that it doesnt affect their release? |
