Old & new saregama with Jagjit & Deepika

What a difference between Friday's and Saturday's episode...Friday episode reminded of the old saregama, sitting on the floor, going classical, semi classical and the focus on singing. Everybody is quiet and listening when the Mahagurus(Pt ji and jagjit Singh) are present..

The moment they left and comes Deepika, Farah khan and the gang..every body is behaving like kids without a teacher...Which episode(Friday or saturday)you really enjoyed and had fun?Do you think old saregama can do the same kind of buisness as the new one?

Film promotion has become a part of saturday episode. The team of Om Shanti Om lead by Farah Khan was visitng Saregama..and team of saanwariya lead by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was on the rival show..

Friday,of course.Those days are gone.Channels dish out a differnet genre today.No place for old SRGMP kind of music.Fun and frolick is the mantra.

Fun and frolick indeed is mantra for TRP's..But if they have a routine where there are Mahagurus on Fridays and Film promotions on saturday..than it will kinda balance ...

Yea, that's a good idea! I really reallyyy enjoyed Friday with the Mahagurus, but I guess filmstars have their own plus points, so a format like that would be awesome!😳

i liked todays epi better! yesterday was boring imo...

I'm not a great fan of classical singing/ghazals....I have never watched the old SRGM,though my mum used to watch it..I was only 6 or 7 years old then,in the latter half of the 90's..

I enjoyed Saturday's episode,I liked the songs,the guests...

i yawned and quit today's episode half way. i was so thrilled yesterday, that i felt the joy for a long time until i was run over by a six pack today- and no, i did not enjoy corona!
if i represent majority, i am sure shows like the one on friday will be far more watched and apprecated. if i represent the minority, then perhaps shows like saturday will show TRP wonders.. i wish it were the old style.
