Mumbai: Vivek Oberoi who turns a year older today, will have to keep the birthday celebrations on hold, as the actor and philanthropist travelled to Delhi to announce a huge sanitation initiative under the Swach Bharat campaign, in association with global not-for-profit organization, Habitat For Humanity.
Vivek today announced the development of over 1 lakh free toilets across India, a project which has been in the pipeline for quite a while and has finally materialized.
Sais Vivek Oberoi, " Celebrations will have to wait as I'm in Delhi for my birthday on a work commitment but it's a great way to bring in another year for me, as this initiative is something that we critically need at this moment for a cleaner ,healthier India."
Vivek and his family are planning to celebrate his birthday once he is back home, post his social and professional commitments. In the meanwhile the dignitaries at the event ,celebrated Vivek's birthday by cutting a cake with the words 1 lakh iced across it.
